The definition of the best
was long-term patient of Dr. Svensson, despite my living in colorado. Finally needed to repair aortic aneurysm this year. surgery july 15. also determined during surgery existing mechanical aortic value needed to be replaced. Having Dr. Svensson and his team at Cleveland Clinic gave me the confidence that my second open heart surgery in 19 years would be well handled. My family also took great comfort in knowing i was being treated by a world-leading team. Five weeks post-surgery, all is going well. Doing 2 mile walks up and down hills in my mountain town residence at 7000 ft. "Thank you" to Dr. Svensson and the team doesn't come close to my appreciation for the opportunity for a longer and enjoyable life.

Dr. Svennson and his entire team are amazing. We traveled from Atlanta to consult with Dr Svennson on my 21 yr old son who had a congenital heart defect -- bicuspid aortic valve. Dr S saved and repaired my son's own valve and corrected the aortic aneurism. This was an extremely stressful and scary time for us amid the corona virus epidemic. We felt very reassured and confident that every measure was taken to protect him before, during and after surgery. My son is now on the way to a complete recovery. Still continue to receive excellent support from Dr. Svennsons team. Highly recommended!

I had an aortic valve replacement performed by Dr. Svensson in February 2015. I was back to full exercise within a few months and have been doing well. I’m happy I chose the Bovine valve as I have not been required to take blood thinners. There is certainly much to be said for having to top Surgeon in the world perform your surgery.

Dr Svensson repaired my aortic aneurysm in 2019. Impossible for me to say that he is the best, but I am confident that certainly there is nobody any better. I am blessed that I had a man of this much talent working on me. He is down to earth and his very calm demeanor and thorough office visit instills confidence when you meet with him. I knew I was in the best place in the world and was not even nervous knowing I was in Dr Svensson's care. Dr Svensson and the program he has built at Cleveland Clinic are an incredible well oiled machine that still provide a personal touch... Thank you Dr Svensson and the entire team at Cleveland Clinic, I am eternally grateful.
