Dr. Latisha Malcom, MD

Dr. Malcom has been my doctor for about 15 years! I followed her from another practice to Inkster. I love her professionalism and no non-sense approach. She listens to all my concerns and she always refers me to specialists and gets all the tests to get to the bottom of whatever concern that I have. My three adult children see her as well. Dr. Malcom is the BEST!

Personally I love Dr. Malcom. I have been a patient of hers since 2013. I followed her from one practice to another. If she leaves again I will follow her to the next office. She takes the time to listen, she addresses all concerns. She responds to messages in a timely matter and she makes herself available for you. Her schedule was full and I need a prescription and she was able to fit me in with a telemedicine visit instead of having come when she had an opening. There have been times she has called me the next day or two later because she thought of something else for or wanted to change something. That shows me that she cares about her patients. It’s also a plus that I don’t have to run down my history every visit because she remembers most of it. She recognize when something is off by just looking at you because she knows how you normally are. I recommend her to everyone I know.

Dr Latisha Malcom is the Best PCP ever! She has an excellent bedside manner, which is lost among today's electronic healthcare professional. She is patient and kind and listens to your concerns. She is smart, makes thorough assessments and her diagnoses are on point. If further investigation is required, she will refer you to the proper specialist. Communication and follow-up is where she outpaces the average doctor. I can reach Dr Malcom in the office, via phone, or through the patient portal and she always responds within a timely manner. For over five years Dr Malcom has been my PCP and I dont make a medical move without her counsel. She has assisted me through disability procedures, a nervous breakdown, divorce, death of my spouse, 2 hip replacements, COVID, and a myriad of aches and pains, the major and minor illnesses that life brings; I would not trade her for any other physician in the world! She is a rare gem and I feel fortunate to have her as my PCP.

I read some negative reviews of her before selecting her as my PCP but I had seen her and she didn't seem that bad so I selected her and gave it a chance. I should have taken head to the warnings. She became exactly what was written about her by my third visit. She was impatient, she cut me off when I was talking to her several times during the visit. She was judgmental, and suggested that I was prematurely trying to attain SS Disability when I had not mentioned it. Forgot health information that I had given her medical records on and made me feel as though she believed I was lying about the diagnosed conditions. To say the least she's no longer my PCP.

In all fairness, she always seems rushed and over scheduled, which isn't necessarily her fault. After waiting over 2 hours in the waiting room (another half hour to pee in a cup and wait for the results), I felt pretty haggard too. She gave me eight referrals at once instead of discussing potential diagnoses for my ailments, and had me schedule a follow-up appointment (another two-hour wait) just to tell me my blood work had come back clean.
