Dr. Mariuses (Laur) Birlea is a treasure among specialist caregivers. He diagnosed and successfully treated a complex and problematic condition that numerous specialists in 3 countries failed to recognize, and has provided me with consistently sincere and attentive treatment for the past 4 years. His optimism, authenticity, and compassion are evident; he is one of the few doctors I feel entirely safe with. His trustworthiness is a much-needed security source in the often uncertain world of healthcare. On a human level, it's evident that he cares deeply for his patients, and he's been an immense comfort to me when other doctors have fallen short. I sense that he views being a doctor as a privilege - which is a wonderful thing. As a migraine patient, I am grateful to be improving under Dr. Birlea's care. He is the sole provider for whom I am willing to pay a facility fee. I hope he knows he is deeply appreciated.

Dr. Birlea is a caring, attentive and impressive doctor. The first time I met with him, he talked with me for almost 30 minutes and sat Eye 2 Eye rather than standing above me or sitting across the room. He listened carefully and has worked with me ever since to try and control my migraines. They are getting better and we have tried multiple things. This is a doctor well worth waiting for if you must. I highly recommend Dr. Birlea.

Dr. Birlea is perhaps the most genuine, authentic, honest, and compassionate physician/neurologist I have met. Not to mention he is equally brilliant, skilled and accomplished. I have seen many doctors in my 9 years as a "professional patient". He is in a league of his own. BY that I mean he supassess all the others by his kindness, concern and palpable devotion to his patients. I am honored to be one of them.

Exceptional, he is the only Neurologist that will go above and beyond for his patients. I live in Colorado Springs and rather drive to Lowery or Anschutz just to see Dr. BIRLEA he even communicates with my primary Dr. when need be. If I have a urgent matter I can contact him 24/7.

Dr Birlea spent an incredible amount of time with my husband and I to make sure that I understood my diagnosis, prognosis, plan of action, and expectations of all parties in my care. He and his staff have gone above and beyond in my care and I could not be happier. It is amazing how good you can feel when someone takes interest in your case, rather than completely dismisses you and your issues.

He did not help my headaches/migraines at all and had a new diagnosis every time I saw him, not remembering or writing down info from prior appts so time was wasted. Most of the time was at least 45 min late, sometimes to an hour an a half and when I tried to reschedule was told it would be counted as a missed visit. Botox was THOUSANDS more than other providers, to the point I had to pay several hundred out of pocket because they charged too much and insurance refused to pay the high price.
