Horrible office management and after care.
Have been going to Dr. Bealer for yearly checkups within issues. She did cataract surgery on my right and left eye in August. I have had 8 follow up appts the last 2 in 1 week. Each time I have to wait 1 and a half hours to see her and another 30 minutes with the techs who do most all the work. I have had complications the last month. After more drops and still no improvement, I saw her again today, 2nd time in a week. She told me everything looked fine, yet my vision is not good. Sent the tech in to measure for glasses. I had questions about the prescriptions for glasses. The tech was relaying back and forth with the dr who was right in the hall. Tech came back in handed me the prescription. I asked another question about the strength and was told the dr. left for the day. After going to that practice for 30 years, I will not go back. She is too busy for her patients.

Found her just okay. Have seen Dr. Bealer 3-4 times but just changed to someone new. Dr, Bealer is “pleasant” but not very personable. I have never gotten much information from her and I’ve always felt like she was in a rush.

My experience with Dr. Bealer was very good. She is thorough and explains everything in detail. She is very professional and the wait was not long at all while receiving treatment. The staff who do the exams and scans are very professional as well. The office staff, however, are ABYSMAL. They treat you as though you have absolutely no sense or feelings. They tell you one thing and do another. It is very difficult to deal with the office staff. After you leave the office, it is impossible to get to talk to the person who helped you when you were there; no one will even tell you their name. Such a shame!

I took my mother to Dr. Bealer for a second opinion after she had seen an Emory doctor. Dr. Bealer was amazingly smart, helpful and correctly diagnosed her after she had been misdiagnosed earlier. She took the time to patiently explain everything and had the latest equipment (which Emory did not have). Also, her technician was excellent and made my mother very comfortable. I will recommend to her to everyone!
