Dr. Laura Den Ouden, MD

My mother has been going to Dr. DenOuden for years and she has allowed my mothers high blood pressure to go unchecked, failing to treat her correctly. She has now had a stroke and tests reflect long term high blood pressure. She does not take a proactive approach at treating her patients and her practice is very "cookie cutter". Luke-warm bedside manner. We are switching doctors.

It is impossible to get an appointment is a timely manner and if you have a health issue, you either have to go to Urgent care or Emergency room. About the only way to see the doctor is if you are going in for annual checkup that was booked a year in advance. I just don’t feel as if there is enough concern for the patient’s welfare. I also feel as if she needs to show more patience and concern and not poo poo everything off as “just getting older”

Dr. Den Ouden routinely dismissed my elderly mother’s ailments as simply getting older. After consulting with my niece, a neurologist, I learned that she could have least investigated Mom’s memory loss further to develop a reasonable plan of action. On our last Dr.’s visit, she arbitrarily prescribed a medication without telling us about the side effect of dizziness. Den Ouden knew that Mom had a history of dizziness and falling. Mom fell. A few weeks later she died. I would not recommend her.

Her office is Internal Medicine for Woman...I would always recommend Dr. DenOuden to woman of age 18 and up ... however I do not think they are taking on new patients at this time...if you get an appoint with her consider yourself Blessed and do not miss your appointment! She is Amazing! As well as her Medical Assistant Rachel! They have never let me down and I have been a patient for over 3 years.

Was in the ER. And the Doctor there recommend that I go see dr den ouden for a follow up. When I called to get an appointment all I got was the run around from the office receptionist. She said she was only the office girl and couldn't help me. I told her I was get worst and that I needed to see someone tomorrow (Tuesday Feb. 9th) she told me that there office was closed on Tuesday's and that she would have the Dr. Call me back.
