Excellent experience
I understand that everyone is different, but I do not understand previous negative comments about Dr. Homewood because I found her to be extremely nice, very knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon who I would recommend highly. I had a total hysterectomy by Dr. Homewood due to postmenopausal bleeding and everything went great, and I found her approachable, great bedside manner, and professional. Four months post op you can barely see my scars from the robotic procedure and I’ve had no complications. I also had an excellent experience at UVA in general, with every single member of the staff being very, very nice and professional. I totally recommend Dr. Homewood.

Dr. Homewood is excellent! She walked me through what happened during the surgery, showed pictures, and answered all my questions. She checked me out and looked further when she did not seeing anything at first and I still insisted something was wrong. She discovered the issue and prescribed what I needed. She listens and cares.

Would give 0 stars if I could
Very unprofessional, rude, condescending, definitely would not recommend. After the appointment, I was not sure if we could trust her medical judgment because it was such a bad experience overall. Find a different provider!!

Horrific experience
Terrible and traumatic surgical experience with Homewood… avoid at all costs unless your goal is exponentially increasing your chronic pain

Poor care, communication and follow up. Go to Johns Hopkins if you can and Martha Jefferson if you cannot.
