Dr. Laura Rush, DO

Just had my first visit with Dr. Rush at Kaiser. She made me feel safe and well cared for. Amazing patient compassion and medical knowledge.

This doc is ridiculously overcommitted. She is impossible to get an appt with (literally, Kaiser told me she has no available appointments in the future). She takes weeks to respond to emails (a receptionist will respond within 48 hours but not answer the right questions and you can't reply to their emails). I've had a total of 2 phone appointments in 2 years and spoken with her for a total of 12 minutes. Take the cost of my health care coverage over two years and divide by 12. It works out to $5,600 per minute. She can't wait to get off the phone, by the way, and it's painfully obvious. So, if you like paying through the nose for health care coverage but don't actually ever want to see your doctor (it's ok, she doesn't want to see you either), you know where to go.

So far, so good! Attentive, efficient, doesn't immediately prescribe medications when alternative treatment options are available. I hate to take medications, so her approach is perfect for me - AND EFFECTIVE.

As a fairly new CA resident, I’ve quickly become a big fan of Dr. Rush and Kaiser. She is extremely professional, thorough and has a natural ease with her patients. She takes time to inquire about my overall well being rather than focus on only my physical condition. I highly recommend her!

I saw her two times And she had completely different personalities. She screwed up my prescription refill wrote it for short acting instead of suspended released Could have killed me would not respond to any of my messages. Did not keep our phone appointment. Then when I made a complaint about her to Kaiser she retaliated by putting lies in my chart that I was an IV heroin addict. I’ve never done heroin in my life....who does she think she is? Slander, beware!

I have had Dr Rush as my PCP for over a year now. Every time I get tests done, I have to repeatedly call and/or email the office in order to get the results. They frequently don’t return calls or messages, and I had to wait weeks to get results back. The care the provide is seriously lacking, and no one takes responsibility and follow up with patients. Communication is awful and it is impossible to contact Dr Rush directly unless you make an in-person visit. Would not recommend.

I had a doctor that was absolutely amazing and when I relocated to Palm Springs I was certain that I would not find the same level of care. I'm so happy that I found DR. Rush. I know how important good medical care is and I couldn't be happier.

Absolutely Awesome Dr. She's very kind and understanding, and..she listens to her Patients, it's been a long time since I've had a Dr. whom makes me feel like a human being and her staff is wonderful too, it's always a warming experience,no matter the occasion.. thank you all for such wonderful proffesionalism

I saw Dr. Rush for 3 mos. with the same symtoms, low grade temp. swelling of abdomen, swelling of legs, shortness of breath, heavy yellow vaginal discharge. I was treated for bronchitis, & a uti - I ended up in the hospital for 30 days with numerous infections, a 14 milimeter absess, fluid on the lungs. I would not recommend Dr. Rush as she was unable to diagnose any of my problems..
