Dr. Laura Tellechea, MD

Dr. Tellechia saved my life. I had seen many doctors over the years, including a urologist, for blood in my urine. I was told I had UTIs and was given meds. I saw Dr. Tellechia for an entirely different reason (incontinence). Still, when she saw that I had blood in my urine, she gave me an internal exam and had me get an ultrasound, which found I had a very thick uterine lining. This led to her giving me a prescription for a biopsy, where my uterine cancer was detected. I was able to quickly get a hysterectomy, so the surgery got out all of my cancer early! I didn’t realize that the PAP Smear test, bladder ultrasound, and other tests that I had done did not test for uterine cancer. I feel so grateful and lucky that I saw Dr. Tellechia and highly recommend her!

I'm a healthy 52yo but I had experienced several UTIs over the course of a month. My gyni is in NYC and had prescribed several antibiotics that didn't help so I needed to get a full exam and understand the issue. I called over 10 local urologists, most of whom only see men or only perform surgery. When I called I was told it was about an 8 week waiting period to get an appointment, I was so despondent and asked for any cancellations, I ended up with an appointment the next day. I arrived early for my 11am appointment and had filled in all the paperwork online. I was in the exam room before 11am and had a very thorough visit. The receptionist was lovely and confirmed they had all the paperwork they needed, the nurse was lovely and took the samples and did some tests. Then Dr T was very thorough and thoughtful with her assessment and advice on next steps. I left with a plan and feel a lot better.

Spends as much time with you as you need. Tells you what all the options are. Answers all questions so you can understand. Is warm and friendly. I am a nurse so I have worked with MD’s most of my life.

I strongly recommend Dr. Tellechea and her wonderful staff in Boca Raton. I struggled with multiple UTIs, abdominal pain and worsening health due to infections and organ prolapse (both bladder and rectal). I also had ovarian cysts and cancer scares after menopause. I researched many doctors and specialists and luckily found Dr. T. She and her staff were amazing and so supportive! After thorough testing and many questions on my part, Dr. T guided me toward the best decision of a complete hysterectomy. Her patience and expertise were invaluable. My laparoscopic hysterectomy was such a success that I came back to her 2 years later for additional prolapse repair. She is a talented surgeon and so willing to listen, explain and help her patients decide what options are available. Thank you again Dr. T, Erica, Bari and extended staff!

After Dr. Tellechea successfully performed a 5 hour surgery, I experienced minimal discomfort. Her expertise, professionalism and compassion in prior explanations of the surgery and her patience were so reassuring. After the surgery, Dr. Tellechea was responsive to any concerns I had. Additionally, Dr. Tellechea's staff is highly competent and always welcoming.

After a 5 hour surgery I had minimal discomfort and my medical condition was corrected. Dr. Tellechea was available to patiently address any questions and concerns prior to as well as post-surgery. She is an amazing surgeon. Additionally, her staff is efficient, friendly and welcoming.

Cannot say enough about Dr. Tellechea and her office! Kind, professional, accommodating and timely. Total hysterectomy. Was never nervous. She has a way of making you feel at ease. Takes time to explain everything. Day of surgery I saw her several times before and after surgery. Aftercare appts. were great! As a Dr. and a surgeon her bedside manner is impressive! Great experience!

Was in a mess for over 10 years with UTI'S and then leakage. Tried two MALE Uro Gyno's...just AWFUL......thank God I found DrLaura Tellechea.......from the 1st visit, she made me feel safe and that all my issues could and would be taken care of. I have been seeing her close to one year now.......she is the amazing. She is a womans advocate and associated with Boca Regional on Glades in Boca Raton, Fl. She takes time to listen to all my concerns and is compassionate and caring in every way. Took care of all the problems, had Surgery in June and it was excellent. It is now just 5 weeks and totally healed and feeling great. Everything is normal now and I feel like I have my life back. Thank you Dr. Tellechea.

Dr. T saved my life! She is the most intelligent and amazing doc ! After life long suffering of pms, I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and I feel so much better just 3 wks after surgery. Her medical assistants , Erica and Mickey are so sweet and helpful! Her surgical coordinator, Marissa, can’t be any nicer and is so on point with everything. I couldn’t ask for a better experience, considering I had to go through my surgery I ever had. She answers and explains throughly any and all questions and makes the experience as smooth as possible!
