Does not believe in Lidocaine
Had a stereotactic breast biopsy on 2 sites. It was excruciatingly painful. I kept telling her I was in pain and she assured me I was getting lidocaine. Needless to say, I received an itemized bill and there was no lidocaine charges. There were plenty of miscellaneous charges like for bandages etc, but no lidocaine, so she lied.

Poor communicator
I was shocked by a scary diagnosis and also shocked that Dr Kerwin seemed unable to explain to me in plain English what the imaging in my mammogram and ultrasound meant. She launched into too many extraneous details about various procedures without taking time to first give an overview of my situation. When talking with patients in distress it seems she is unqualified/untrained to comm effectively. I’m sure she had the best intentions but I would not want further interactions with her in a professional setting.
