Dismissive and disparages other doctors
Provides a diagnosis without feeling the need to explain, provide further information, or answer questions. Rushed me out as if there was not much to discuss. Very dismissive when I tried to inquire further. When I mentioned visits with my specialist, he brushed off that doctor’s opinions as if she were irrelevant and clueless. But this is a top doctor in her field! I will not be returning to Dr. Gordon.

Rein in that ego, Doctor
Doctor Gordon did figure out that I was anemic, which not all doctors have done in my experience; however, my 'wellness' visit was all of six minutes. He did not even examine me. He didn't listen to my lungs, my heart, look in my ears, etc. He just sat in his chair crosslegged and lectured me on my other doctor's choice of psychiatric meds. and his opinion on them and then continued to lecture me on exercise. I found him dismissive, in other words. I think he was very hard on me considering that I had recently had a hip replacement, fell down the stairs after with injuries; had giardia, had severe GI problems and had a colonoscopy and was put on steroids (having been diagnosed yrs. ago with lymphocytic colitis.) When I mentioned these things to him, he said that if I didn't like his care to find someone else and claimed that he did listen to my lungs. Untrue. He said his plate is too full to deal with 'this'--me- he'd leave me alone to decide. 2 min-.out the door. He's Cold!

Poor
Unsatisfactory, no interest in listening, made recommendations without getting all the facts. “Who cares, we are going to die sometime”!

Outstanding. Dr. Gordon is one of the few doctors I've met who listens. His willingness to explain his thinking is very reassuring and promotes confidence in his judgment---which then bears out. He's a nice man who just happens to be a very smart doctor. You can trust him.

Dr. Gordon treats our entire family of 6. We love having him as our family doctor. Our kids actually look forward to their physicals. He makes our kids feel comfortable and cared about. He is never rushed and always takes time to listen. We are very confident in his ability as a doctor.

Dr. Gordon is a great doctor. Visiting with him is more like a social visit than like a doctors appointment. He is down to earth and fun and very relaxed during our visits. I would recommend him highly.

I've never actually written a negative review of a doctor, but my experience with Dr Gordon was so poor I felt I had to. He was incredibly dismissive when I explained that I had a difficult (not not impossible) to treat chronic illness (he suggested I "just learn to deal with it" -- actual quote); he was singularly unhelpful about even basic questions relevant to a primary care physician; and he didn't listen well (I had to repeat family history three times).
