Nobody else would help me
My shoulder was severely injured by an impaired driver. The trauma surgeons at the local and prestigious university hospital were afraid of it and would not do a scapula fixation. I was very depressed about the way that my body looked (you could see with your eye that my shoulder was not where it was supposed to be) and worked. My arm was so impinged on my torso that wearing a shirt was rubbing my skin raw. Dr. Kempton was recommended to me by a trauma surgeon at Vanderbilt and he performed the six and a half hour surgery. It has been about 7 months since the surgery and while I will never be the same I am very happy with the results and the decision I made to go with Dr. Kempton. I cannot imagine how miserable I would be right now if I had followed the treatment plan of the other hospital in Winston Salem which involved leaving it where it was and putting in an artificial joint. Dr. Kempton gave me hope and I am grateful.

poor with aftercare and very short and brief after waiting 45 minutes, couldn't explain a reason for the problems my son's having with pain and discomfort with the hardware almost 2 months after surgery

Dr. Kempton performed all 10 of my ankle surgeries while he was still in Florida just before he relocated! By far the best and I would highly recommend him!

I have loved having Dr. Kempton as my surgeon and my doctor. I would highly recommend all of my friends who have orthopedic issues to him. I suffered a complicated fracture due to a car accident, and he has helped me every step of the way with recovery. He has great bedside manor, as well as makes you feel comforted. Highly recommended.

He gave conflicting aftercare instructions and omitted aftercare instructions!! Excessive wait time. Over 2 hours wait time in waiting and exam rooms.
