Dr. Laurence Moore, MD

I sought help at a UW Health clinic for severe anxiety and gender dysphoria (the latter condition was something I had kept as my darkest, most shameful secret for decades). I was seen by Dr. Moore, and I cannot overstate the medical competence and sheer human compassion that he showed me in our hour-long visit. He left no stone unturned with my medical history, life circumstances, and details of my mental and physical distress that day. He presented me with a path forward, with both a short-term phamaceutical bandaid for the anxiety, and referral to gender specialists to help with the more fundamental issues I was facing. It started as one of the roughest days of my life, and ended with me feeling truly seen and cared for by another human being, who just happened to be a doctor. I can't recommend Dr. Moore highly enough.
