I told Dr Shift that I had severe anxiety and that I had been on lorazepam for many years. I told him how my blood pressure goes into dangerous levels when I am anxious. He basically said that he wasn't buying that and offered to give me half of what I had been taking and told me I had to make it last me for 6 months. He was rude and a know it all, he has no clue of my past and things that I have been through. When I tried to tell him my story, he basically said he was not buying it and that it was all I was going to get from him. People pay to go to a psychiatrist to get help, not to be scolded and talked to like they are not human. Stay away from him if you are looking for kindness and someone who truly cares about his patients. Now I found a psychiatrist that disagrees with him and has no problem prescribing me the dose I was previously on because she understands what severe anxiety can do to a person. She listened.
