Dr. Lavanya Kondapalli, MD

I was referred to Dr. Kondapalli specifically by my hematologist when I started experiencing severe fluid overload, shortness of breath with any activity, and other potentially serious symptoms. Hematology referred me as urgent given the severity and how quickly my symptoms came on, and I was told Dr. Kondapalli was one of the best and worked closely with oncology.The urgent referral kept getting canceled with no explanation. As my situation declined, my mother stepped in to try and get mescheduled for the urgent referral. I ended up needing to go to the emergency room for assessment as my oxygen levels started dropping as well. The following monday after my ER visit, her office called and said they would see me for a virtual appointment. I was relieved and thought I might actually be able to get some help. I just had a great appointment with Dr. Kondapalli. I have been trying for years to find a cardiologist familiar with heart disease following chemo and radiation which I had received 38 years ago for breast cancer. With coronary artery disease being the leading cause of death, even at the supposed “Centers of Excellence”, I have not been able to find a cardiologist with ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking nor evaluation for obvious radiation induced heart disease. She was extremely thorough regarding my medical history, spent a great deal of time answering questions honestly and directly and most of all gave me a new hope for further ‘survivorship’, a term she offered. Definitely a 5+ star review!

Worst follow up ever. Rude - dismissive- clearly interested in building her career and not patient care! Worst ever. Don't care what her credentials are - she is horrible at patient care. Wouldn't trust her with my worst enemy.
