Dr. Lawrence Bish, MD

Had been. patient of this practice over 20 years. My personal doctor saw me the other day said " contact your cardiologist your BP is high". Today I called as BB is 190/115 and 186/1110 light headed chest pain. The receptionist advised me I was no longer a patient of Dr. Bish as I have not been seen in 3 years. I was shocked as I have called EVERY YEAR, only to be told if I did not have chest pain or shortness of breath I did not need to be seen. And NOW to be told I am not a patient UNREAL. Thank God I am only 68 yrs old and pretty good shape otherwise. She said Dr. Bish is very popular and I would have to see him as a new patient and it. would be in April. I explained that my BP is really high etc and she said nothing, not even go to the ER. I only hope no one who is in REAL BAD DISTRESS doesn't get this disgraceful treatment by a practice you have been LOYAL to for years, hope I do not stroke out or have the big one before I can get seen. In search of Cardiologist PRACTICE that CARES, shame his. practice doesn't care about long term patients. Dr. Malscalco had my father as a patient for over 40 years

This was my first visit with Dr. Bish. With the retirement of my primary, and as a 79 year old who had never met with a cardiologist, I was referred by a close friend. I was not disappointed. Dr. Bish reviewed my health history and focused not only on cardiology issues, but on issues I would normally have addressed with my internist. He suggested comprehensive blood work and a nuclear stress test work up. He contacted me by phone and reviewed the results with me. He's a great listener. If possible, I would chose Dr. Bish as my new primary as well as cardiologist. Phone communications with his office is frustrating because of the volume of calls due to the the existence of two Cariology groups within Doylestown Health Physicians.
