I had my first routine visit with Dr. Cooper today. He greeted me warmly with a handshake and smile. I am a woman in my mid 80's. He treated me with respect and showedinterest and empathy in my various conditions. I look forward to having him as my PCP

MD is great IF he is available
I spent a long time researching internal medicine docs. It took 6 months to get an appt with Dr. Cooper. My first visit was amazing and confirmed that I had selected the best internal medicine and primary I had hoped for.I got in to see him a second time only because Sutter REQUIRES a post hospitaliztion visit within 2 weeks. After that - nothing. He was never there (had been reduced to 2 days and other issues). His back-up MD was impersonal and unhelpful. I was assigned to a 'team' that repeatedly sent the wrong Rx to the wrong pharmacy despite many massages.I had to find another primary.

For the positive, Dr. Cooper is very personable and easy to talk to; however, none of that matters when the office doesn't run well. It took multiple phone calls and voicemails to get tests scheduled and the test results. The office never proactively called me with test results, I had to call them over and over. It took multiple phone calls to get a referral, and I'm still not confident that it was done. I received a diagnosis of "likely" cancer by voicemail (on my wife's cell phone).
