Dr. Lawrence Damore, MD

WARNING! Dr. Damore did my umbilical hernia repair. The pain never stopped- ended up in ER on Memorial Day. The next morning I called and informed of ER visit- requested help with his office for continued pain management and was treated as if I was drug seeking. Utter disrespect and negligence in pain management. He also did not mark incision points with me upright- now the incisions are higher and being rubbed against my ribs. WARNING: if you have an unusual pain response to surgery, do not count on this guy helping you at all. No calls from him, nothing. Jen, his assistant, is covering for him and argued with me speaking fir the doctor- that is wholly inappropriate. ADDING THIS OVER 2 WEEKS LATER: It has been determined that I now have severe sensory (skin) nerve damage from the procedure! Dr. Damore just wants bodies to play with his robot on. Still, PAIN unbearable- thank god fir my great primary care doctor who is helping now. Again, This surgeon is burnt out and is dangerous.

After being referred to Dr. Damore for umbilical hernia repair, I read all these 5 star reviews and felt confident. However, one week post op I ended up in the ER with unmanageable pain. When calling the office the next day to notify him of the ER Visit and troublin symptoms, I requested an antibiotic and refill on pain meds. HE BLEW ME OFF- refused to prescribe! I was told to come in over 24 hours later to see him and then, maybe, he would prescribe. I'm a 68 year old diabetic with unstable hypertension. The increased pain from 6 incisions from the robotic laproscopic surgery were suddenly bleeding, getting red around them, and the sharp pain felt like knives., clearly becoming infected. I think he did not account for the change in my anatomy when I am upright- 3 of the painful incisions are right on my lower rib, especially when sitting. This is a rookie error and has cost me much. Bottom line: HE BLEW ME OFF AND BROKE TRUST. I have requested referral to another surgeon.

I have seen Dr. Damore twice for a condition that caused me pain and concern for many months. His personal approach and calm demeanor helped easy my anxiety. MY outcomes where wonderful and I can only be thankful that Dr. Damore was there with his expertise and skill to solve my health issues. Thank you Dr. Damore!!!!

Dr. Damore is the world's best surgeon! He has very successfully performed 3 surgeries on me, 1 on my husband and one on my dad! Surgery can be somewhat scary, but we have complete confidence in Dr. Damore. He gives us excellent instructions and guides us before and after the surgeries so that our recoveries have gone very well. His surgical skills have resolved our problems and brought us back to good health! He is always approachable and available for and questions! Dr. Damore is awesome!

Dr. Damore was wonderful. He put me ar ease, listened to my concerns. He called when he said he would. Dr. Damore was concerned and it gave me comfort. Shelly his MA is wonderful as well. She returned my calls and was always interested in my well being. This is a great team!

He and his staff were extremely proficient, responsive and took excellent care of me. Out patient procedure and hospital care exceptional.

Dr. Damore was awesome. He picked the best surgery option for me (single site robotic cholecystectomy) and was very knowledgeable. The surgery went well and I have NO complaints. I’d highly recommend Dr. Damore for any surgery and will be going back to him in the future for anything I may need! His office staff is great too. His nurse is so friendly and the surgery scheduler (Casey) was great too.

Dr Damore made me feel so at ease before surgery. He did a great job, great followup - would recommend & use him again.

Dr. Damore and his assistant Shelli are an amazing team that made me feel welcome from the very firt phone conversation with Shelli through my post-op appointment. As a surgeon he is knowledgeable and extremely kind. He is willing to answer any question no matter how silly until you feel comfortable. He and Shelli are always on time in the office and I have never had to wait. Lastly, his surgery is like a piece of art work. After only two weeks you can barely see the scar on my neck.

Through the years I have used Dr. Damore on two separate occasions. He is very knowledgeable and and an extremely qualified surgeon. I hope to never need another surgery again but should I do, Dr. Damore will be the only one to ever perform surgery on me. He is very professional and a very gifted surgeon. I have the utmost confidence in him. His staff is wonderful and they will do everything to make you feel at ease.

I just had gallbladder surgery from Dr. Damore. I could not ask for a better doctor. There were no problems and I was up and going in 2 days with hardly any pain.

I'm a retired pharmacist with 45 years of experience in both hospital and retail pharmacy. As such, I've had my share of conversations with attending physicians, surgeons, and other health care providers. Dr. Damore is an outstanding surgeon who communicates completely with his patients and leaves you confident with his abilities. I highly recommend him in meeting your surgical needs.

I met Dr. Damore in the emergency room so I was at his mercy for help. I had already been to a different hospital emergency room and released. He found the problem, advised me of my needs and followed through with my treatment until my release. I felt comfortable and confident with his advise.

Had surgery to remove abnormal lymph node in upper thigh. Following the surgery, Dr. Damore did not bother to do a post operative check or even a post surgery update. I would have appreciated some personal contact and an update. When the result of the lymph node analysis came in, he did not call to tell me the result which was cancer. I was told that news by another associate in his office...over the phone. During surgery, Dr. Damore caused permanent nerve damage.

This is my second surgery with Dr. Damore. Dr. Damore listens to his patient's concerns, answers their questions, displays professionalism and has an excellent reputation in the medical field as a superb surgeon.
