Dr. Oconnell is an amazing OB. He explains everything and is there for you when needed. He delivered both of my daughters. Hes also funny and extremely good at his work. I wish him greatness in his next journey since hes leaving AWHA!

Colorados Best!
After non birth related complications after having my 1st born (who was premature) when Dr OConnell found out I was being flight for life to the hospital from another town and was in labor with my 2nd child (who was also very premature) he stayed on shift so he could be there to deliver for me. He just finished up his turn doing 4 or 5 days as the on call 24/7 OB for the hospital and was due to leave but stayed another 12+hrs for me because of my history. He is the only Dr who has ever truly listened instead of looking at me (and every patient) as the same by the book case. He is kind and has a way of making you feel like a person with real issues instead of a number or someone who doesn't know their body because it's not textbook. He is not the OB in my area since I moved but any chance I get to slip in and see him over anyone else I absolutely do. You don't find Dr's who care and actually listen to you anymore like he does! Thank you Dr OConnell you are Colorados Best!

BEST OBGYN IN COS
Doctor Larry O'Connell brought my beautiful baby girl, Piper Louise into this world in 2017. I couldn't have asked for a better OBGYN! He listens, is kind, gentle and caring. Made me feel comfortable my entire pregnancy. Thank you Doctor O'Connell for helping me grow my family!

He listened to my issues, agreed with my general assessment, and created a treatment plan I was comfortable with for my endometriosis. I ended up having a laparascopic surgery and Dr O'Connell was great!

Dr. O'Connell is the best always takes he's time each visit i have had with him & always explains everything perfect so I can understand exactly what is going on. I couldn't have chosen anyone better than him.

Dr. O'Connell is great, professional, and answers all your questions thoroughly. However the Academy Women's Healthcare system is flawed. If you love waiting an hour to be seen and refused because you are not 15 minutes prior. This is the place for you! First and last pregnancy due to the horrible nature of the staff. Never want to go though this hurry-up-and-wait game again. Your time means nothing to AWH. Best doctor, but the worst office/staff. He is worth the wait, but seriously...

I THINK HE IS THE BEST DR. FOR ALL OB/GYN APT. HE IS THE ONLY DR. I WILL EVER, EVER HAVE DELIVER ANY OF MY CHILDREN. MY SISTERS ALL GO TO HIM AS WELL. HIS STAFF ARE EQUALLY AS AMAZING THEY MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE AND LIKE FAMILY NOT JUST A PATIENT!!! THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

We moved to Colorado in my 3rd trimester and I had to find an Obgyn fast! I called many places and no one would take me due to our laps in insurance. My husbands new insurance didn't kick in right away and their office took me. I am high risk and he didn't miss a beat, he had all aspects covered and made sure everything was looked thoroughly over. He spends so much time with me at each appointment and I've never once felt rushed. I'm so happy to have him as my doctor.
