Awful person! Bounces off the walls! Talks about himself! Shoved a cane in my face, told me to get one or better yet a walker! It was devastating Made fun of my Primary care, cursing! Devastating visit!

Horrible. Unprofessional. Arrogant. Condescending. Take your pick.

My mother had been sufferring from horrible headaches on one side of her head for several years. Over the years she had seen four different specialists who all diagnosed her with having everything from cluster headaches to migraine headaches. Nothing helped. As a last resort we sought the help of UTSW Medical School who sent us to Dr. Schaeffer. He found an aneurysm that everyone else missed, which was on the verge of rupturing. In short, he saved my mother's life and gave our family and friends 26 additional years before her recent passing from cancer. Amarillo is fotunate to have someone like him. On a side note, I am perplexed at the single negative complaint listed. I have never seen him in anything but a friendly, caring, interested state of mind. I have known Dr. Schaeffer for a quarter century and things don't add up, even if Dr. Schaeffer was having a extremely rare "bad day". Also, Nurse Sarah is unbelievably amazing.

He was wonderful to work with and so thorough. He treated my husband with such care and respect while making sure to ask all the questions he needed to formulate a treatment. Thank you so much! We are forever grateful!

Dr Schaeffer, his nurse and receptionist are very thorough! I was very apprehensive and nervous prior to my appointment but was quickly reassured by the receptionist, then the nurse that the recommended test wasn't so bad. They made me at ease. I found Dr Schaeffer to be kind, friendly and interesting! I would recommend him to my closest family/friends. r

Absolutly not! He was very arrogant And no doubt in my mind he is smart but he was nothing but a smart ...! He insulted my husband 5 times and belittled me several times for not having diaganoses from previous doctors in hand . He encouraged me to not use several dr. That I have seen ... he will be turned in to medical board and he left the door open during my whole office visit

Dr Schaeffer, nurse Sarah and Brittney are wonderful. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs to see a neurologist. They are very personable and they put me at ease. They care about not only their patients but patients family. They are Amazing to work with and extremely helpful.

He and his staff are amazing! I was diagnosed with MS in 2012 and have had the best care since day one.

Thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the staff. Although the necessary (and possibly diabolical) procedure I endured left no lasting scars, the Doctor made the entire event more tolerable by allowing my verbal abuse of him. Thank you, Dr. Schaeffer. And... I'm Sorry? I learned that maniacal laughter eases the pain. Who knew? And I learned to say, Thank you, Dr. Schaeffer. Reminder received: Tina Turner rocks!!
