February 2015. One bad step and it felt like a knife in my knee. Hobbled around with cane for weeks. Orthopedist said torn meniscus and osteoarthritis. No surgery. Dr Schainker suggested trying stem cells and PRP. It took weeks and also some physical therapy, but the result was that in September 2015 I walked 200 miles of the Camino in Spain....10 miles a day for 3 weeks! And I’m still walking today . Repeat PRP last year and pain free. I’m convinced it would not have happened without that treatment.

Although Dr. Schainker is normally running late, it is only because he is willing to spend time with you. He is thorough and answers all my questions. I never feel rushed, very unusual in medical care today. I would highly recommend him!

I am a retired radiologist. I know how difficult it is to do ultrasound guided procedures into very small joint spaces. Dr. Schainker is highly skilled and extremely accurate. He has saved me from the progression of arthritis in my knees and shoulders. In my very well qualified opinion, he is a marvelous physician and I am fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Schainker is very attentive and thorough when you explain your concerns. He explained an array of options and helped guide me through a decision to do PRP with stem cells and then, a couple years later, to follow up with another PRP session. I have found both to be very helpful at reducing pain/symptoms for an arthritic knee.

innovative technology helps relieve pain but is very very painful when administered. you have to have a high pain threshold to take it, but it's worth it. just steel yourself and you will feel the benefits almost immediately.

I wish every doctor were like Dr. Schainker. A true professional. And what I love the most about him is that he doesn't just see the small picture. He examines you and tries to get the big picture of what might be done to best help you, the patient. He is thorough and attentive and has a great deal of experience looking at the entire body. He also believes "it is best to keep your own body parts" so rather than telling you immediately to get your knee replaced, he is willing to try some other options which might, in the long run, be a much better, safer and less invasive answer to your problems. I'll take the smart, experienced, and competent doctor any day of the week. .. and I promise you that doctor is Lawrence Schainker!
