I’ve been going to Dr. Schafer for over 25 years. He is an awesome surgeon. It has a Great bedside manner.. Hate to see him retire. He deserves it.

Dr. Shaper was very informative and thorough in his answering all of my questions. I believe he enjoys interacting with his patients.Thanks to Dr. Shaper's surgical skills, my broken hip is on the mend and feeling strong. I would highly recommend Dr. Shaper to everyone who is in need of an orthopedic surgeon.

He listens and takes his time with you. He is personable, kind and a great diagnostician and surgeon. And has a great sense of humor.. you can’t go wrong with Dr. Schaper!

I made an appointment concerning a knee problem. An Xray was taken and when Dr Schaper came into the exam room, he questioned where was pain what was level. After checking my knee he reviewed the Xray and explained where and what my problem is and, steps needed to take care of it. I have always been very comfortable with him any time I have needed to see him and he never rushes you.I have been a patient of Dr Schaper since 1995. During that time, he has done a total knee replacement on both knees, a rotator cuff repair and numerous other visits for various sprains and etc. In that time, I consider him not only a doctor but a friend. I just know that when he retires, he will be sorely missed by all of his patients, past and present. Thank you Dr Schaper for all that you have done over the years. I wish you the best.

I was seen in a timely manner. My concerns were addressed and I was able to get a cortisone shot. Everyone was very professional. I got good service!

I saw Dr Schaper for evaluation for right knee replacement. He did my left knee 4 years ago and it has had renarkable results. I wouldnt want anyone else to do my right knee. He is kind, compassionate, and very thorough. I trust him impeccably.

I went for a second opinion after no progress after 7 months of invasive intervention at another office. He found the issue within about 4 minutes of me being there. A fracture. Grateful that he listened to me and took my concerns seriously. I now have a plan of treatment.

I went in for my hip. He was very pleasant & explained very what I was seeing on Xray & my options which was good.

Had both arthritic knees injected with hydrocortisone ( steroid). Absolutely no pain during procedure. Both knees markedly improved in less than 24 hours. Much easier getting upstairs at home.
