He did a fundoplication redo for me. Tricky business, cleaning up someone else's screw up, but he was excellent.

Dr. Swanstrom ordered over $1,200 in tests before I had even had an appointment with him. This is not appropriate at all. His front office staff (administrative support) try unsuccessfully to answer medical questions you have. They are never able to get you in touch with a nurse or medical assistant who is able to answer Medical questions. I would not recommend Dr. Swanstrom or his office to anyone.

Dr. Swanstrom literally saved my stomach in 2011 when it was questionable about whether it should be saved. It had closed due to adhesion from several previous surgeries and he spent 2 hours on separating the tissue. What should have been 4-6 hours turned into 8.5 hours. He did a fabulous job! I am thankful that he was available to take my case on more than one occasion.

Dr. Swanstrom was removing my adrenal gland. He was surrounded by acolytes and seemed minimally involved. During the surgery, someone slashed through my splenic artery. I nearly bled to death and woke up. He performed an emergency entry, paralyzing the abdominal muscles on my left side. While I was still unconscious, he went out and told my wife I was going to die. The post surgical report was written in the third person so it was impossible to tell who actually did the surgery.
