Great doctor, Awful office
I hate to see a good doctor's reviews take the brunt of the issues with the way her office is poorly managed. Dr. Ball is great. She is patient, kind, listens, and communicates well which can be difficult to find in doctors these days but her office is a nightmare. Messages through MyChart and via phone go ignored until you make complaints. I had a test order that needed a simple correction and it took a month to get it corrected. I needed important paperwork completed and it took weeks to get someone to help me then weeks to get it back. I also had a preventative test kit ordered without my consent or knowledge with my email address and phone number(!) given to a third party who mailed me an unwanted kit to my home which the office got paid around $200 for. I fully blame the office policy, not the doctor for that because it was done automatically upon my first visit and when I had my insurance investigate this the office did not respond and the insurance said they did nothing wrong!

New Primary Care Visit
10 out of 10 all around. BJC site, in MyChart, support staff, lab techs, and ESPECIALLY Dr Ball.I recently moved to the area and have been struggling to find a PCP. I came across BJC’s site (so much easier than the rest). Entered location, acceptable distance, and voila - PCPs accepting new patients listed in order of appointment availability (soonest to farthest). BRILLIANT!Dr Ball was first, with an opening 8 days later (maybe a cancellation?). I really lucked out. Dr Ball is AWESOME… the perfect PCP for me. She was thorough, went over my recent medical history, asked a lot of questions, refilled ALL my prescriptions, provided the specialist referrals I need, ordered all the usual lab work (in-house, short wait), and scheduled my next appt in a year. Just hours later, all lab results and visit notes available in MyChart.Dr Ball is highly intelligent and very knowledgeable. I felt cared for, but not lectured. I felt heard and not rushed. I feel I am in good hands.

Poor service
Doctor never touched me did not listen to my heart or check reflexes nothing just asked questions. This was for multiple visits and she never requested blood work. I had to ask for bloodwork because my insurance company requested bloodwork.

if you care about your health, find another place
My experience has not been good. It's very hard to see her, and the office is not very responsive. It takes weeks to get in to see her, and then on the day of your appointment, they call to cancel for no good reason, don't offer to reschedule, don't apologize, and don't even leave a phone number to call back. You do an overnight sleep test, and then they refuse to share the results with you, even though it could be a serious problem that needs to be treated. You have an urgent medical problem, you are finally able to get an appointment, and they cancel at the last minute without any explanation or empathy, leaving you high and dry. My in person interactions with Dr. Ball have been fine, but I'm beyond frustrated with how you are treated there. It's not a viable place to count on for your medical care.

first wellness visit for senior male
With an easy manner and clear communication, Dr. Ball obtained a comprehensive medical history and nicely set the stage for continuing primary care (annual visits or as needed).

Dr herself was very good, but.....
She was very good for my appt. But when the support staff won't call you back, won't respond to health concerns on their online platform, and won't fix billing mistakes they made after months of back and forth, it reflects poorly on the doctor. I have no other place to go to submit feedback on this issue. The dr office is not responsive and honestly doesn't seem to care much. Its scary knowing you may get very ill and not have a doctor to be there when you have done all you should.

New Patient Experience
My wait was very short and I was welcomed with courtesy. Dr. Ball was patient with me as we discussed my medical history and concerns. After all of my questions were answered, I did bloodwork with a gentle phlebotomist and was on my way with validated parking. Couldn't think of a way to improve.

I am a new patient to in the BJC Health Care System and BJC Medical Group. Dr. Ball helped make my transition easy. She has really taken the time to listen to my concerns and explained things like I have never received before. Not to mention as a young female, she made me feel heard and comfortable. She had great recommendations on my own preventative care. I highly recommend her. It was so easy to get in as well. I am happy to be her patient moving forward! Last note, staff was great but the office seemed a tad out of date? if that's the correct wording? Waiting room was great and clean but the back where the exam rooms are seemed like it could use updating.
