Dismissive
After waiting over six months for an appointment, I found this doctor's bedside manner dismissive. She forced me to take a breathing and nutrition class, even though I told her I had been practicing diaphragmatic breathing for years and had seen a nutritionist for over a year. I did them and found they were a waste of my time and money. Then, she proceeded to tell me that all of my symptoms were in my head. They are not. I had to ask to be tested for certain things because things were not resolving. She was not interested in finding the root cause of my issues. Her office sent me back to my primary care doctor. Why was I paying for a specialist when they were just going to send me back to my primary care doctor for help? This is in addition to her being late for every appointment (about 45 minutes). She needs to work on her time management skills and respect for patients. Now, I must find another GI who can help me at a different facility.

Approachable, attentive skilled Gastro
Dr. Kia had sunny personality, bedside manners, spoke to me directly and respectively. Welcomed any questions and asked if I had concerns. She provided a high-level overview of the procedure and next steps. Procedure as painless and the staff was outstandingly attentive and caring.

This was our first time going to Northwestern, and our experience was great. We did have to wait a long time to be seen, but at the end it was worth it. Dr. Kia was amazing. She explained everything thoroughly and was SO patient with us and our questions. So glad Dr. Clark's office referred us to you. Thank you!
