Dr. Lena Rydberg Freese, DO

Dr. Rydberg is an attentive listener, manages our chronic illnesses well and always follows through. She follows up with us at home even when we don’t expect her to do so. She is consistently compassionate and considerate. Her schedule is managed well and time in the office is well spent. All members of her team work well together.

I cannot tell you how frustrating the last two, working on 3 weeks have been for me. I had an opinion from a specialist, who then referred me to Rydberg as my PCP to confirm and get local care. Rydberg said she wasn't sure she agreed so she ordered labs she wanted, while the specialist had their labs coming in. It turned out that the labs came back to favor what the specialist said, and that specialist recommended an MRI, yet didn't feel comfortable writing one from out of state. He encouraged me to get the referral from PCP, whom I had just seen that same week. I called for NINE STRAIGHT BUSINESS DAYS and left a message each day! Each time the secretary stated she put "urgent" on my message and that the nurse wasn't available. Keep in mind all I wanted was a signature on a form the whole time. I called the "feedback line" even. Allison was responsive and said that they would call back. The next day they called and the nurse proceeded to tell me that she had HUNDREDS of messages in her

I've been seeing Dr. Rydberg for several years now. I have varied autoimmune issues as well as with weight and issues concerning weight and Dr. Rydberg is consistent with my care, coordinates with my doctor at Mayo Clinic. I've had many doctors in my life due to frequent moves, including internationally, and my opinion is that she is very good at her job.

Dr Rydberg has treated me for a number of years now. She listens well and allows the patient’s knowledge to help guide her in her decisions. I have heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and a cycle logical disorder. She keeps all of these in mind as well as all the many medication’s on mine as she works with me. She’s the best doctor I’ve ever had!

For the past 4 + years DR Rydberg has managed by Diabetes. You can not find a better Internal medicine Doctor in all of Iowa

Dr. Rydberg is outstanding - a great physician, a caring person and with such strengths. I cannot recommend her more highly.
