Terrible! Absolutely terrible! Two surgeries: 1. elbow (requiring a 2nd effort to remove a screw which worked itself loose even as the elbow itself is still unable to be straightened out), and 2. ill-repair of my broken leg and ankle (requiring a long time repairing surgical procedure on the fibula and now, pending a re-setting surgery to straighten my ankle); When these issues were highlighted to another John Muir Orthopedic physician, inside of 5 minutes into the consultation, a third invasive surgery was recommended. Correspondence sent to John Muir Orthopedics asking for input/comments regarding these subpar treatments remain unanswered and ignored. Stay away from Calafi!!!

We went to John Muir ER on New Years Eve. Our 6 yr old son had a broken arm. Dr Calafi happened to be working that day and was able to set and cast his arm within a few hours of it breaking. He was gentle and calm and did very well with our 6 yr old. We were pleased with every nurse and staff member we encountered as well.
