Hostile and tried to bully me into a statins
Dr. Del Rosario was assigned to me by the North Charleston VA Medical Center. During our initial consultation, he tried to bully me into accepting a statin prescription and threatened to withhold lab tests, such as a CAC score unless I agreed to take a statin. He followed up by sending me three rude replies via the VA secure message system wherein he said that he would 'grade' me as a 'C minus' patient. Upon reporting his misconduct to the VA Medical Clinic, the VA agreed his misconduct justified transferring me to another VA provider. VA Patient Advocacy, who interceded, further confided to me that Dr. Del Rosario has been a problem but that since he is retiring this spring, the VA will simply tolerate his misconduct until he is retired, at which time he will be replaced. He is one nasty person with an attitude problem. An aggressive impersonal bully. And for as much money as I pay for health insurance, I will not tolerate it because for the money that I pay, I deserve better.
