Dr. Fischer diagnosed me with Crohn’s disease based on a colonoscopy. My lesion was benign so we proceeded with several treatments that showed no relief of my symptoms (symptoms did not match diagnosis, vomiting with abdominal pain). Over the year of treatment I only saw his PA and was assured over and over that my worsening symptoms were still Crohns. At my repeat colonoscopy I had a different doctor and was re-diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. The surgeon confirmed no signs of Crohns.

He is seriously the worst doctor I have had in my entire life. Not only you always have to wait for hours for a procedure, but he will definitely misdiagnose you. I was on a strict gluten-free diet for 6+ years as I was diagnosed with Celiac disease by another GI but Fischer was stupid enough to tell me that I have no gluten in my system and there are no traces of celiac in my system. Of course there wouldn't be since I have avoided for years...because of his word, I went off my diet and started

Dr. Fischer is an excellent doctor. He really cares about his patients. Will take the time to answer your questions, explain options & procedures. However, because he does care about his patients, he very often runs over. I've personally waited almost 2 hours to see him. However, the staff does not alert you to his lateness when you check in to ask if you'd like to reschedule. The only time I've gotten in too see him on time, is when I get the 1st morning appointment of the day.
