Best doctor I have ever had
Dr Seecoomar is an incredible find. Takes all the time you need. Explains things clearly and compassionately. Good sense of humor and doesn’t talk down but assumes intelligence. Here is an example of above and beyond: I had a hysterectomy and was having difficulty with my recovery. My surgeon and his staff had made recommendations but I had terrible discomfort. On a long shot I called Dr Seecoomar since it was all very gastric related. He spent half an hour on the phone with me and made some great suggestions that worked to get my digestive tract back in working order!

all about the money
Conveyor belt of endoscopy service. left results on my VM with no clear plan for treatment. When I questioned billing I got no return emails and just kept sending invoices. Went to another Dr. One positive..He lets you leave without a chaperone. No safe but convenient

This doctor is rude, abrupt, no compassion nor gentleness. I was in so much pain and he peppered me with questions about past conditions, medications, etc., not giving any consideration that I am 80 years old with a memory that cannot remember past details. I will not trust my life to him.

Originally went in for colon cancer concerns in which the Dr. Seecoomar recommended a colonoscopy. Assured me this was preventative and covered by insurance, had bloodwork and stool samples done too. Never called to review any of my bloodwork or sample results I had to call in 3 times before getting anything. Had the "preventative" colonoscopy done and again never called me to go over findings - I had to chase them down. A few months later receive a bill for thousands of dollars. 10 months later and I am still battling the bill that insurance wont cover because it wasn't marked as preventative yet no one is willing to assist with this. As of last week received another bill for the lab work too that I never officially got results for. From start to finish this has been like pulling teeth to get my results and am still fighting to get it covered by insurance as originally relayed to me. I can not personally recommend and would avoid.

I had my colonoscopy today, 8/28/2019. Dr. Seecoomar was very punctual, very pleasant and made me completely at ease with the procedure. The staff at the GI Center were very pleasant and helpful. His staff at his practice were also very pleasant and very efficient.

Dr. Seecoomar is very knowledgeable, informative and compassionate. He has an excellent bedside manner. His office staff is top notch. The West Side GI center where he performs some of his medical procedures are the best. I would like all of my doctor’s to exhibit those qualities. My husband and I travel out of our state of residence to be patients of his.
