Dr. Lester Leung, MD

I had been experiencing a condition for some time that no neurologist had been able to diagnose. When it led to a stroke event in July of 2021, Dr. Leung was recommended to me as the person to see. In my first appointment, I learned about what had happened to me and the likely reasons why.- Dr. Leung taught me what to do and what not to do in order to avoid stroke in the future. His notes are thorough when I need to review. His manner, knowledge and his ability (and willingness!) to be thorough and listen is what brings about confidence and trust in his guidance. He is also real and down-to-earth which makes going back to see Dr Leung super pleasant despite unfortunate circumstances that require future visits. I am very lucky to have Dr. Leung as a neurologist. My chronic migraines post-stroke have mostly resolved thanks to Dr Leung.

Dr Leung is one of the best stroke neurologists out there. He was instrumental in pinpointing what could have caused, or contributed to my strokes. He is extremely empathetic and genuinely wants the best outcomes for his patients, knowing recovery lasts for years, even well after the acute treatment and recovery phase. It took me 4 strokes in a rural mountain town with care in 4 different states to find Dr Leung. He’s one of the best out there and I don’t know what I would do without him on my care team.

Dr. Leung is the most attentive and caring physician I've ever had. He approaches each appointment, fully prepared, remembering minor details of my condition that I have even often forgotten. Dr. Leung never rushes through our appointments either, and often spends 30 minutes with me, ensuring that I never leave without feeling comforted that all of my questions have been answered. I have never had a doctor patiently spend so much time per appointment. The most incredible quality of Dr. Leung is that he TRULY cares about his patients. He has given me his personal email and answered me promptly anytime I've had questions. When I told him that I would be moving to Houston and asked if I should get a new physician, he even said he prefers to keep in touch with his patients since he knows their history. He instead said we could just monitor my condition via email/skype once a year. I was amazed that he would even offer that. I'm so grateful to be his patient. BEST DOCTOR EVER!
