Dr. Liana Ponce, MD

She was rude and impatient! She acted as though I was holding her up from something more important than my symptoms. She didn’t even allow me to ask her questions about my symptoms. She just blew me off. I will never go to her again.

She was very kind and thorough, my favorite doctor. Would still have her as my doctor if I did not move. She was patient with my list of concerns and listened to what I wanted. Also very knowledgeable and thorough, which I really appreciated.

Negative experience, all told. She failed to take charge of/coordinate my medical situation which entailed coordination with cardiologist, gastroenterologist, and ENT doc. When I presented with urinary tract infection, I was referred to urgent care, when a dip-stick test and Prescription sould have resolved my problem. Urgent care was a five hour wait. When I used the patient portal to request orders for serology tests (It had been months since I was diagnosed as anemic), she chastised me for using My Chart as a texting service and refused to respond to my requests. I would not recommend Dr. Ponce to anyone.

Dr. Ponce is a very competent Dr. showing great attention to preventative care, and found an issue overseen by my last two Dr.s.

The worst doctor I have seen in 27 years of pain management . Been a patient at southwest for over 10 years . Suffering from severe chronic pain and stomach issues . MRI’s , X-rays , reports and even a recommendation from her own office but she refuses to acknowledge any of it . She is a very hateful doctor especially if U are Hispanic or an old patient of southwest care . Never have I feared a doctor like I do her , U will soon have to see a psychiatrist after a visit with her . A -0 star is not available

In March I saw Dr. Ponce. It was my first time with her,however I've been going to that clinic for almost a decade and have been very happy with my past doctors. I came in after being in intense pain for 3 weeks. Having gone to the ER twice, I was told I was experiencing a bulging disk and I needed an MRI . They did do an X-ray. I'm in my 60s and I've never experienced this awful pain. She treated me like a piece of dirt. Called me a liar.and didn't even look at my records. Less then a star

I saw her after a very short wait in the waiting room. She is softspoken with a very nice manner. She was comprehensive in taking her history and doing her physical.

I got in very quickly to see her and didn't have to wait in the office. She was very professional, caring, and helpful!

Dr. Ponce is amazing! She listened and cared when it seems like no one else did. Dr. Ponce took time out of her schedule to research and gather appropriate information for my condition. She followed up by checking on me personally. She made it her mission to get me everything I needed to start the road to recovery. I am forever grateful.
