Worse experience
Dr Wei is unprofessional, disrespectful, and uncaring. On top of that, I waited 1 hr after our appointment time. And would have left if they didn’t call me in immediately after I pointed this out to the front desk. In the meeting Wei couldn’t find my chart so I recapped our last visit and then she glanced at my results before immediately telling me to come back in 3 months. When I questioned it she said “I can only make recommendations and if the patient does not follow up it is America you know”. I lost complete trust in her medical professionalism. I am not sure why she brought up our country when discussing my health. There are many doctors who genuinely care, are open to questions, respond knowledgeably to communicate so that patients feel cared for and comfortable. We live in New York and we have no shortage of good doctors. I will never return to see Wei.

Dr. Wei was not prepared for my appointment as she had not reviewed the 20+ lab tests that were ordered by my rheumatologist. She avoided answering questions and even try to fool me into thinking that she had performed a blood smear test via the bone marrow test. Overall, it was a terrible experience as the doctor did not seem to care to consider other possibilities to explain my unexplained condition.
