Switched doctors
I'm sure she's a great doctor for many people but I had to switch doctors. My anxiety wasn’t improving with the medications she prescribed and despite telling her the antidepressants made me feel worse, she seemed unwilling to try anything else. During my time with her, I even began questioning whether it was truly anxiety since the anti-depressants never worked, so I decided to see my primary care physician. I went through a bunch of tests—allergy screenings, breathing tests, blood work, you name it. Everything came back normal, but the anxiety remained.Looking back, I'm not sure why I stayed with her for two years. The turning point came when she suggested medication given to people with schizophrenia. I'm not diagnosed with schizophrenia & I understand it can help people with anxiety but I truly felt like a test subject. I switched doctors the next day. The new doctor gave me a low dose of something that wasn't an anti-depressant and I got my life back.

After a year in a half and only being prescribed anti-depressants for my anxiety I decided to go to another doctor. Anti-depressants made me want to hurt myself but I kept getting them offered. Anxiety was still terrible. She does respect other prescriptions from prior doctors so that’s good.
