Very Unhappy with this office, walked out
I was told on the phone they would not medicatate if I did MMJ. Told them I was not seeking medications. I got there and they wanted to drug test me even though I was not wanting any meds, plus I use MMJ. Dr refused to. see me unless I did their drug testing. I also found out they will not do any injections or procedures without sedation. I have done probably 100 and never sedate. I walked out. Don't need a money grabbing Dr. and it shows they don't care about their patients, just the money.

Unemphatic Doctor
Waited over an hour. Never told us to fill out paperwork and being medical records before our first appointment. Dr. Schroyer had zero bedside manner. Knew I just moved here and been on pain medication for several years. Would not fill to get me through till their next appointment a month later! I’d be out of medication by that time. They need to stop treating people like everyone is a criminal. I can see why her low ratings are justified.

Poor Experience
I have had abdominal pain for 7 years. I have been to organ specialists, primary dotors, pain doctors, holistic doctors, chiropractors, acupuncture and more. I have had many medical tests including, imaging, blood, various organ tests, etc. When nobody could find the source of my pain, my primary doctor referred me to the Ramos Pain Center. I looked on their website and "abdominal pain" is listed under "Conditions" that they treat. I repeated my 7 year history with 3 people before the doctor. Finally the doctor came in and started asking me the same questions. She then said that she cannot help me because she only works with "spine" pain patients. The whole experience was a waste of time. And this doctor has a terrible bedside manner. Even if I was erroneously assigned to her, she could have offered to help me find the correct doctor within the practice, or at least had a little empathy. She had none of this.

I, as with another respondent, was unable to play golf, walk more than a few steps-even showering was painful-until Dr L Shroyer began to manage my pain. She asked probing, and increasingly specific questions as she zeroed in on the cause of my back pain. She was thoughtful and listened intently, finally recommending a treatment plan which she thoroughly explained. Her correct diagnosis and honed technical skills have given me my life back. I will forever be in her debt-as are the folk I referred to her as they had the same type of experience. I would give her a 10 star rating-were that an option.

So since my review of last week isn't available to see, I will do another as to spare ANYONE from having to deal with this person. Beware this office is out for the almighty dollar. I had ben seeing Dr. Lindsey Job (The owner of the practice) for the last 5 years. She quit seeing patients and I was given to Ms. Shroyer. She immediately wanted to cut my meds in half! This without even touching me, NO EXAM WHATSOEVER! I have been stable on these meds for the last 5 years. Never had A dirty UA, no problems between us at all. I can't have surgery because of osteoporosis, so meds & exercise is my only option or so I thought! Just saw NEW PAIN MGMT, Ah yes! possible progress, a spinal cord stimulator, pool PT, then maybe med decrease.THAT FOLKS IS how you do it. Not coming in Balls to the wall to mess my body up, make me ill, put me in hospital, and generally make my life miserable in general. SO choose carefully folks

Under Dr. Shroyer’s care and treatment I’m able to live my life and do things I haven’t done in years. That includes long walks and golf. I had become sedentary because of neck, back and SI joint pain. Now I’m in much better shape and happier.

I was referred to Dr. Shroyer by my primary physician of ten years at First Physicians of Sarasota for ongoing chronic pain. I brought my scheduled medication list, MRI discs and my past surgery information" She was very nice and did listen to what I had to say. She did not want to write for my same medications as I had taken for many years because she thought it was more than she felt comfortable with giving me. At that time she requested I have several lower back injections and "Radio Frequency Ablation. I asked her what she recommended as a medication schedule? Open to changing things up! She nicely explained a lower schedule. I respectfully declined and had to take that information back to my primary doctor. I did try the injections and then the RFA. Those wasted months and ultimately did nothing. I stopped seeing her and a few months later I recieved a letter that she left that doctor's office. After that my back got worse and I had a serious surgery that ended the pain by 75%!

Absolutely the WORST experience!!! Completely incompetent! I have a serious medical condition and I abide strictly to my neurosurgeons recommendations. Dr. Lindsey went against and offered treatments in direct conflict with my current program.

I was referred to Dr. Shroyer by my family practitioner, also a member of First Physicians Group. The office does not answer phone calls, I have tried fifteen times (on different days of the week and at different times of the day) and have left three voicemails. Never heard a word back, no response. Weeks of sitting waiting to hear from someone who is supposed to be a good choice to help me manage my chronic pain.
