The office clerk for this doctor seems to work for about a half hour each day, maybe two days a week. Often fails to return phone calls and behaves in a way that is clearly inappropriate for an office staff member, e.g., asking me questions about my medical situation, etc. The UMMS website indicates that Zilliox has expertise in myopathy. I called at LEAST 5 times to confirm that she had expertise in the area of "statin-induced myopathy". Someone finally answered "Yes". So I scheduled an appointment, waited 6 months, and then an incompetent office clerk called and said she was going to cancel the appointment. After several messages and a few phone calls, the doctor responded indicating that she had no expertise in the area of statin-induced myopathy. I would suggest that unless there is no one else in your area with expertise in the area in which you are trying to get a valuable, helpful, polite, and courteous assessment, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN.

Would not recommend
1st very slow to answer mychart messages and then with one word replies.Well I can't say that I recommend Dr. Lindsay Zilliox at University of Maryland. I waited 5 months to be seen, she diagnosed me with POTS and after trying only 2 meds, I have had severe edema with both she now has given up and says I need a cardiologist. I've had horrible experiences with cardiologists even after a positive POTS diagnosis. They shrug their shoulders and tell me I just have to live with my symptoms. There are so many other meds she could be trying me on but instead she just gives up and punts me along down the road. Definitely don't waste your time with her.
