I went to the ER because my breast has been throbbing in pain for around 2 months now. I came in after having rock hard large lumps across my right side of my chest and breast. I was seen months ago and after a physical exam had been told they were probably lipomas but since then, that right breast, has started to badly hurt. Dr. Yardley walked in with a scorn on her face, didn't smile once at me, showed ZERO compassion and after feeling my breasts, without looking me in the face once, told me to 'call in myself' to find a breast surgeon and they cannot do any imaging at the ED (she said no hospital ED would do imaging because its not emergent - UNTRUE!). My sister talked to her after asking for her to write an emergent referral to the surgeon for me and she said she would.I called the surgeon's office and they said that after reading the notes they could give me an appt in 3 months...this was quite disheartening when I am worried I have something seriously wrong. She made no effort.
