Dr. Matthews has been my doctor for a few years now and every visit she has taken time to get to know me and my medical history. Dr. Matthews spends a good amount of time with me on each visit.

Excellent Health Care Provider.
I have been with Dr. Matthews for years, and have found her to be an excellent doctor, caregiver, listener. She makes appropriate referrals, and is responsive and engaged. I could not ask for a better doctor.

Disappointing
Dr. Matthews came in with a preconceived opinion of what I was there for for my visit, due to me being a regular Novant patient. She came in (wasn’t rude) and asked why I was being seen and when I went on to tell her, she stopped me and told me I was throwing a lot of things at her(not new information, they asked why I was scheduling, when I called for an appointment. Information that the doctor gets and reviews before they step into the room to see the patient). She then proceeds to dismiss my issues and reads off my past visits with certain specialists, said I should probably go back to them and told me that there’s nothing further she could do. This is frustrating as I was experiencing new problems of concern and she didn’t even attempt to look into it or at least hear me. Ridiculous!
