Dr. Lindsey Urband, MD

Dr. Urband put my left hand back together after my crash over four years ago. She did a masterful job reconstructing my right thumb, suturing tendons and grafting some skin. Dr. Urband also worked closely with the physical therapists to develop an effective therapeutic road to recovery. Now, I am able to play the violin and guitar again! Lindsay Urband will put you at ease when you ask her about your Surgery! I felt this doctor heard me and acknowledged my concerns about surgery for Thumb joint arthritis! She willingly allowed me to communicate my fears post-op, rehab, my difficulty with pain medications, pain-management!, I can say my results are pleasing to me and without a doubt Dr. Urband is topnotch professional surgeon!

If you choose this doctor or this office make sure you come prepared with your own pain management plan !! The fact that my discharge papers contain discrepancies is minor! Imagine having your thumb slammed with a Iron mallet! Howling in pain! But you won’t be.::educated on the pain you will feel after surgery:: or how to-prepare to manage after-surgery pain, you won’t even be told that there there Will be pain! Everything I did to protect myself during and after surgery I learned from googling trapeziectomy to be on the Internet!

The scheduling is terrible. They don't take call and ask you to leave message and they never return the call. I can not leave review on Dr. Urband since I have not been able to see her yet.

Dr. Urband has been amazing to work with. She is perfectly knowledgeable and effectively addresses all questions and concerns I've had. She listens well and clearly cares about my comfort and well-being. Couldn't recommend her enough. I'm not a surgeon, so cannot comment on the quality of her work in that regard, but everything has gone as smoothly as I could have hoped.

My orthopedic doctor was out of town when I fell and fractured my shoulder. I was most grateful to have been refered to Dr. Urband. She did and excellent job of identifying the best procedure for a full recovery. It was a painful process at first but the results have been excellent. Also, both my husband and I appreciated how personable she was anyhow she explained every step of the way. Happy to refer her to others!
