She was the hospitalist caring for my cousin with serious hematological/GI problems. He was found to be COVID positive, having had infection more than 2 weeks prior, and his admission irrelevant to that. She attempted to place him in isolation for 10 days, restricting his access to the diagnostic and potentially therapeutic medical care he needed. I had to complain to the hospital patient advocates and administration to have Infectious Disease remove her uneducated decision. She did not implement the basics of medical care such as DVT prophylaxis, GI prophylaxis, pneumonia prevention, Insulin requirements for diabetes, insisting in GI involvement. Every basic essential measure was an argument with her. She both lacks the medical knowledge to practice medicine and the empathy for human suffering. Her arrogance and not accepting that there are limits to her knowledge placed fear that under her care my cousin would not survive. We asked for her to be immediately removed from his care.
