I'm glad I was referred to her.
Our appointments are always pleasant. I brought up several concerns regarding my medication, and she got straight to the point. She also shows caution when advising new or different medications instead of giving me a sales pitch, as I've previously experienced with other medical professionals. Regarding my mental health, I'm grateful she has a gradual approach instead of medicating me to oblivion. I plan on seeing her for he foreseeable future.

Invaluable!
Dr. B has been seeing me for about 5 yrs. She knows her pharmaceuticals and is willing to try several to make sure your diagnosis is helped. She has nailed mine. I like her directness and that she wants to make sure you understand the pros, cons and possible side effects of any drug or drug combination she prescribes. As with any physician, she appreciates communication. She wants to know if you are having any problems. And she appreciates when patients make their appts or need to change it. I don't mind that she has a policy that if you do not let her know that you can't make an appt, she will charge you a fee. Her time and expertise is worth it. She has made a difference in my life and my family and I really appreciate her dedication. Thank you, Dr. B!

Just 1 phone call
Emailed her requesting info on how to make an appt. I picked up a call on my lunch break thinking it was somebody else I needed to speak to urgently and kept missing calls from. When she greeted me I politely apologized and asked if I could call back the next day as I’m at work and on my break which ended soon. She scoffed and said “ummm… I guess. You should pick up the phone every time a doctor calls though. Doctors are very busy people, you know?” (I literally just told her I was busy? But ok! Sure thing) she continued to get annoyed that I did not want to discuss my mental health issues in a mall food court on a Friday afternoon. Eventually I did call her back while eating my lunch and she continued to get annoyed that I was chewing because I was eating my lunch, like I had told her I had 10 minutes to do before. I guess my tone was annoyed because I was rushed to eat and couldn’t focus, and said “we aren’t all out to hurt you” I won’t be giving her any further calls.

Dr. B has been a godsend for me. I came to her with deep anxiety and depression. She was flexible working with my schedule and my medicines (I have an underlying health issue that can make prescribing complicated) and I feel the best I have in years. I feel much better after each visit, and cannot say enough good things!.

Dr. Beisel did everything in her power to give me the easiest transition and accommodate my needs when I moved to Austin. Even when I had a hard time transferring my records and getting them to her, she treated me with compassion and flexibility. She was very accommodating in scheduling appointments that fit my college schedule and my experience with her was wonderful.

Awful, just awful. Unprofessional to the max. VERY judgmental and argumentative. If you are already taking any medication, no matter how long, she thinks its the wrong thing for you even if that is what has worked for years.I have anxiety and insomnia and have been on the same medication for over 8 years, by the time I left our FIRST AND ONLY visit she brought up all kinds of other things I might suffer from. Uhm no... and how do you determine that after one visit? I left worse than I came

Dr. Beisel is very unprofessional and rude. I felt as though she was not concerned about me as a patient at all, but more worried about how much she was going to get paid. I was shocked at how unprofessional she was and the manor in which she presented herself. She at time can be very condescending and acts as if she is better then others.

For the first time in my life, my depression and anxiety are under control due to Dr. B's knowledge of medications and willingness to be aggressive with the titration. She always asks questions to monitor the efficacy and side effects and will change things up to get the best results. She's timely and it's very easy to reach her assistant if you have any questions.

Visited 2x. Found her inappropriate and judgemental. She couldn't remember our first session or apparently read her notes and was insistent that I review my childhood trauma with her in detail. This is not required for medication maintenance. In response to my citing a misdemeanor DUI that prompted my therapy more than a decade ago she tried to make AA a requirement of my sessions.???She has strange fee tiers - like $20 for prescription refills.

Dr Beisel is one of the worst communicators I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She is a terrible listener, and frequently interrupts answers to ask new questions. She drastically misinterpreted the things I told her, to such a degree that I have no confidence in her diagnoses. Her education and knowledge seemed pretty good- I'm not saying she's stupid! Just that I feel like she was using our painful interview to build a description of an imaginary person that I barely recognize.
