Dr. Lisa Blackwood, MD

When I tried in August 2024 to schedule my annual visit, I was told she is no longer at this practice. I really valued her care, so very disappointed I canmot find her mew practice.

Dr. Blackwood is the best dermatologist I've ever seen. She was thoughtful and detailed in her discussions of my concerns and took an ample amount of time to discuss the options and to decide (along with me) on the best plan of treatment. She is a very special physician.

Dr. Blackwood checks everything out very closely and is very tuned in to all your dermatology issues.

I highly recommend Dr Blackwood! She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional with a great personality. She has been my mom and mine doctor for many years. She is very thorough and had detected cancer on my mom's face at the earliest stage. I won't go to anyone else.

I have been a patient of Dr Blackwood for the past 3 years. Her doctor-patient interaction has always been positive. She is patient and understanding. She is thorough and you never feel rushed or as though you are just another patient to get through. I am glad to have found Dr Blackwood as a trusted dermatologist. Dr. Blackwood is personable, efficient and professional. Although I have had mainly yearly exams with her, I would trust her with any of my derm issues.

I can't imagine better care than what I received from Dr. Blackwood. My reaction to a prescribed medication was a serious rash over most of my body. Dr. Blackwood reassured me that it would improve within the next two weeks. It did. She did a biopsy and asked me to get 2 blood tests. She checked in with me via phone and text and a follow up visit. I am improving as expected. Dr. Blackwood and her staff are excellent. Wait times were minimal. All questions were answered.

Awful visit with dr. Blackwood. She did my skin exam in less than 5 min and rushed out. I asked the nurse some questions which she couldn’t answer and was told that they would call me later. Why would you call me later when I’m right here in the office? Why would anyone wait 35 min for a 5 min appt only to have nothing answered? What a waste of time, you should be ashamed of yourselves, this is not how a physician should behave!

She has handled multiple possible skin cancers over the years, some positive, and I feel completely secure in her care. Very personable young doctor.

Excellent! Dr. Blackwood was detailed, helpful and kind. She and her assistant work well together! It was my first visit and I was very impressed.

Dr. Blackwood and McKenna (her MA slash soon-to-be nurse) are great partners. I ask a lot of questions because I like to know the science and they're both always willing to answer and explain. It helps me to know that my provider and care team think about treatment plans and aren't just throwing something at me. Scheduling is hard, but that's US Dermatology Partners' fault. Ever since they acquired this office, I feel like they've made it miserable for the front staff. Which is a shame because they're nice too! All in all, great provider who won't give up on you and doesn't try to sell you expensive products.

Regardless of the fact that I was asked to come in early for my scheduled appointment and then spent an hour waiting I had high expectations for the visit. I should have trusted my gut and left then. Things took longer than she anticipated but I didn't appreciate her opening the door during my surgery to call out for her assistant to reschedule her personal appointments... I feel like a doctor should be trying to keep things as sanitary as possible and not be touching door handles while they are messing with open wounds. Not only did that occur, she also allowed medical staff to neglect to dress my wound following surgery and I went home without any instructions on aftercare. The last visit while getting my stitches out, she grabbed her phone to take pictures of the healing process and I had to literally ask her to change her glove. Of course when i asked for a refund for the experience 'she felt she spent a lot of time with you' was the response.This is healthcare at its finest..

She is so patient with my father. While my father was going through his cancer treatments. She was helpful getting him in to see for his appointments. We feel that she is such a wonderful doctor.

Excellent, as always. She made time to look at a suspicious spot on my lip while I was there for another service with the aesthetician. She is efficient and kind.

Dr. Blackwood and her staff are so welcoming. Her nurse sets a comfortable environment prior to the exam. Dr. Blackwood makes you feel as though you are the center of her focus. She explains all procedures very thoroughly. She has an exceptionly positive attitude. Thank you.

Dr. Blackwood is a calming personality in the examining room. She immediately establishes a friendly relationship with you, listens to what you have to say, is gentle in her style of examination and professional in the way she evaluates your condition. Biopsy was thorough, clean and easy. I was pleased with the whole experience.

Dr. Blackwood is an amazing dermatologist! She is thorough, friendly and always putting her patient at ease. I trust her observations and suggestions totally. She has foind and taken care of 'things' I never would have thought were important. She and Makenna are a great team and I trust them emphatically.
