Dr. Lisa Gilbert-Ahee, DO

She is the best gyn Dr. I ever had. She is kind, patient and very understanding. She always resolved any issues I may have. She is a listener and a pleasure to talk, I can go on and on about Dr. Gilbert, they don’t make them Ike this any more you come across one hold on to them.

When I had my first child 22 years ago, I had a terrible experience with a different doctor and hospital. For my second child I wanted a specific hospital, so I looked up doctors who were affiliated and I called a random office, and asked the receptionist, “Who is the nicest smartest doctor there?”and she said “Dr Gilbert.”I wish I could go back and thank that person because she was absolutely right! Since then, she has started her own practice and changed hospitals, and 21 years and two more children later for me , I am so thankful for Dr Gilbert’s care and expertise. She has diagnosed and treated me for several issues and I am grateful for all she has done to keep me healthy, but she is also kind, down-to-earth, empathetic, and truly considerate of her patients and their experience. She genuinely cares about her patients and treats them as well as she would treat her own loved ones. She is still the nicest and smartest doctor I’ve ever known!

Dr. Gilbert is patient and non-judgmental. She is respectful of my beliefs and for the first time I feel like I have a provider that includes my input in the care plan and doesn’t just “tell” me what to do. It’s refreshing and I am thankful to have her as my OB-GYN

I have been a patient of Dr Gilbert for over 20 years, she delivered both of my children. She has an incredible bedside manner, she really listens and I recommend her to everyone I know. I trust her completely as she’s knowledgeable and stays up to date on procedures and medications to help women.

Delivered both of my kids, 9 years apart. Wouldn’t want another doctor to deliver my kids.

I’ve been seeing dr Lisa about one year now; referred by my primary. I was skeptical at first but she has been great with me since my first visit. She listens to what my issue is and actually converses with me about it - the what & why & etc- she explains well in people terms not fancy medical jargon, shows concern about my thoughts, makes me feel comfortable to speak about sensitive concerns…& I have. I have no issue with her staff either. They’ve been helpful pleasant and professional. Initially it took a while (a few months) to get an appointment but since becoming a patient it’s a matter of days if necessary. Many times I get my questions answered and issues resolved through emailing in the patient portal which is very convenient. I received replies back as soon as the same day to the next day at most. My surgery (fibroid removal & total hysterectomy) experience with her was uneventful and I couldn’t have asked for better. She was attentive preventive and responsive to my needs.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lisa Gilbert for 10 years. She is honestly like family. The best Dr. to have when you’re in the delivery room. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert!!!!

Dr. Gilbert is the best. I would recommend her to anyone. She truly cares for her patients and their well being. I can talk to her about anything, and whenever i need an emergency appointment she is always available. I am very glad and very satisfied with the services she provides. She will be my Dr. forever.

First impressions are lasting impressions. Front desk staff need to be more friendly and smile. They act like their jobs are mundane. When spoken to, they were better, but their welcoming skills could be improved. Dr. Gilbert was fine, but would have liked 1)a better closure to appt. -- do you have any more questions? 2)based on my age, should next appt be in 1, 2, or even 3 yrs? 3)Didnt comment on recent thyroid diagnosis provided to nurse. 4)a little disappointed she didn't want to offer much info on questions about seeing a urologist; she'd leave that to them, but did provide a urologist to contact. But was he recommended because she knows about him, his reputation, etc? That didn't put my concerns at ease and I will likely not pursue that at this time. Overall, I am satisfied with Dr. Gilbert and very much like and respect her.

I’ve gone to her for years. She is a great doctor. Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Never have much of a wait when I’m there. The staff is great, too.

Dr. Gilbert is amazing. I can’t say enough good things about her! She delivered my twins a few weeks ago and she made the labor and delivery process flawless. Her calming tone and professionalism set the mood for everyone in the room. Even my husband tells everyone about how amazing she made the experience and recommends her to everyone that’s expecting. She was so great

Great Physician and Surgeon.

This office and staff is by far the worst experience I have ever had and I am health professional myself. I was not pleased with Dr. Lisa Gilberts professionalism and the health advice offered to me. I suffer from Hyperemsis Gravidarum and she offered me no treatment other than to continue and wait to see if it would subside. I continued to suffer for 3-4 weeks with no relief. I had lost 16 pounds, experienced dehydration and malnutrition. When I became frustrated with her methods, she mentioned that she never had dealt with an extreme situation like mine. I then started to recommend on different interventions that would help me and her response was that she did not feel comfortable doing that and that I should look towards termination. She mentioned the same advice to every single appointment thereafter. Once she realized that I was not going to terminate, she finally said she recommend me to a high a risk maternal fetal physician. I was irritated that it took her awhile

I had a new patient appointment for today 5/23/19. I took the day off work and arrived at the office to be told the doctor was not in. She was out doing a delivery. I understand that's what OB-GYN's do ~ it would have been nice to be told that there was a possibility that my appt would be canceled same day. I would have went with a different doctor's office. My phone number was not verified when the appointment was made. So, I wasted a vacation day and drove 25 minutes to find out I could not been since for six more weeks. Yes, I have gone with a different provider.

Lisa Gilbert is such a caring doctor. The most important thing that she does is that she is a gentle doctor who listens, spends time with you never in a rush, and just again such a caring doctor. I would highly recommend her for young women going to a GYN for the first time and all other women.

Been seeing Dr. Gilbert-Ahee for almost 12 years and couldn't ask for a better doctor. She always takes time to make sure I am comfortable and seems genuinely interested in my health. Unfortunately, I will say the intake time is a bit long waiting in the waiting room. I'd rather wait to be comfortable than be rushed to have an unpleasant exam which is what I had with all my other doctors prior to her.
