Very dismissive
Really the worst gynecologist I have ever been to - terrible bedside manner

Performed unneeded hysterectomy
Dr. Gioni told me my hysterectomy was the only option for what I was going through. Every doctor I talked to since has been horrified that non-invasive measures were not completed first. I was also misdiagnosed and mistreated for another issue after surgery. I am now without a uterus, and correctly treated with another provider. My biggest regret was ever trusting her.

I had been suffering with heavy bleeding and cramps for 3 years due to uterine fibroids. Dr. Gioni was very dismissive of my symptoms and took her almost a year to order an ultrasound. Her only answer to my issues was birth control and being a newlywed in my reproductive years, I did not want to go that route. I am severely anemic now due to all my blood loss every month. I have since switched doctors and in just 1 visit, my new gynecologist has put an entire treatment plan together and was willing to listen to me.

Dismissive
Unfortunately, my visit with Dr.Gioni was unsuccessful. All of my symptoms were ignored and I’m still in pain. She laughed off all of the information I provided in support of what could be happening to me hormonally and said “you’re just too young for that.” At 46, I’m peri menopausal and needed HRT. She wouldn’t even test to see if there was a possibility of hormonal issues. I don’t feel like she really cares about her patients.

I am 76 years old . I was reluctant to see a young doctor about vaginal issues. Dr. Gioni was sympathetic, kind and knowledgeable about my condition. Furthermore, she solved a problem which my previous gyn had mis-diagnosed.

Dr Gioni was very dismissive and rude. I went to see her because my period is occurring every 18 days and she offered no help or solutions. I would never see her again.

I read some not so pretty reviews on Lisa Gioni. I will tell you this. I found Dr. Gioni to be right on target. She would NOT give up until she found out what was wrong with me. As a result she found my endometrium cancer. If it were not for her, God knows what would have happend. She is a very aggressive doctor and by no way dismissive to complaints and symptoms. She explains everything. I ended up with a hysterectomy with an oncologist/gyn. I am stage 1a and grade 1----------because of her. One test came back negative (uterine biopsy( and the transvaginal ultrasound showed a thickening. She threw the first test in the fire and wanted to research me further. She found the cancerous polyp. NO way is this doctor neglectful. I trust her with my life and I did. Nancy L Byrnes-Milliken

Very dismissive of signs/symptoms of preeclampsia with twin pregnancy. Did not listen to concerns and would not write a note for work after 30 weeks of twin pregnancy with extreme shortness of breath, fatigue vomiting protein in urine and borderline high BP 140/90. Claimed it was a virus. It wasn't. Ended up with severe preeclampsia and inpatient for 5 days even after delivery. She was in charge one day when I was in and again dismissive and almost sent me home and BP went up extremely high
