Excellent Endocrinologist
Dr. Tannock provides excellent care for diabetes patients. My mother was referred to her, and after several years of working with Dr. Tannock, was taken off the insulin she had taken for years. She not only looks at the readings on the meter, she investigates to find out what is going on with her patients. My husband and I transferred from another endocrinologist in Lexington to Dr. Tannock a few years ago, and we are quite happy with the change. She is more than sitting at the computer looking at your blood work results. She is also very nice and listens to your concerns.

Does not listen to concerns. Often disregards symptoms and complaints which she believes cannot be related to complications of diabetes. Visits feel rushed. Office frequently cancels appointment dumping me out several months.

My son is FTM trans and is a patient of Dr Tannock. The staff is rude and they constantly misgender him. We cannot seem to get his testosterone prescription faxed this time at all, it's been several months! There's no excuse for this kind of service.

Tannock has also left my testosterone levels unchecked. She has 0 connections with anyone else in the trans community (she doesn’t do surgery referrals, you find your own person and she doesn’t help one bit). If you tell her of other issues going on, she’ll shame you for not having someone else check it out. I had problems with monthly bleeding due to my T levels, instead of talking with me about it she said “you should have gone to an OBGYN” completely disregarding how uncomf that would be

I have had ACTH secreting pituitary adenomas. Dr. Tannock is compassionate and actually listens to concerns. She's pretty good at monitoring your conditions as long as you also make an effort to keep up on appointments + call her if you have issues. It takes kind of a long time to get in with her, though.

She just has no clue whatsoever about how to provide HRT for transgender patients. Her treatments are based on very old WPATH (maybe older than that) standards, basically 20+ years old, back when people like me were blocked from medicinal transitioning by "gatekeepers". The doctor before her gave injections, which are more effective than oral prescriptions, you'd think a newer doctor would mean better care,. If you're transgender, try your best to find someone else who will look out for YOU.

I'm a transgender patient, who sees her for my transition related care, as she's really the only game in town. She and her staff feel rather incompetent. They don't check my testosterone levels, and are the only ones I've ever heard of who don't. They forget to call in my refills, leaving me without my meds on occasion. I am thorougly unsatisfied with their services, and would love to see absolutely anyone else if given the option. Sadly, I am stuck suffering with their subpar care.
