Finally, a great Primary Care Doc
I spent a long time searching for a primary care doctor, and finding the right one was hard. Dr. Keney is excellent. He listens well, communicates well an I always feel like I'm getting great care. His office is very easy to interact with for scheduling and it's usually less than five minutes from the time of my appointment until I'm seeing Dr. Keney.

When I initially saw Dr. Keney, he seemed engaged and collaborative in doctor-patient communication. However, after several visits, I began to notice a trend of rushing through appointments, not listening, brushing off my questions and concerns, and not updating my electronic medical records. The office manager, Alisa, also failed to follow through with her promise to correct my records to clarify an issue we discussed at length before I joined their practice. If I can't trust them to get my medical conditions and medications right, how can I trust them in an emergency situation, like if I were to be hospitalized and/or had to rely on them for continuity of care? Time to look for a new PCP.

"Bottom Line" ! Poor bedside manner. This doctor always seems to be in a rush. He is not a good listener. Constantly interjecting before you can finish your sentence. He seems to think he knows the problem before you can actually tell him what it is. Then is condescending to your own thoughts on the matter. Quite often he will dismiss tried and true methods of medical practice as primitive and will go on and on about the latest article he has read on new techniques that don't always seem to have enough data to back them up. My recommendation is to get a second opinion right away after seeing Dr. Keney.

Dr. Keney seemed very distracted and unfocused, almost irritated. Maybe he was having a bad day, but it came across as very demeaning and unprofessional. Didn't feel my concerns were heard or addressed. I've been a patient for a few years, mostly just annual exams. I think I'll look elsewhere for a PCP who is a bit more patient-centric and collaborative. I know poor communication is a leading cause of poor medical outcomes for patients.

He comes across as very condescending. He's always in a rush, doesn't seem to listen, and doesn't seem to care about patient concerns or preferences. Seems book smart, but lacks "people" skills.

I've been seeing Dr. Keney for a few years on and off. Dr. Keney is a great physician. I had switched to a nurse practitioner to manage meds, and it was a nightmare. I felt the nurse practitioner was just a drug dealer. The worst part was that she wasn't responsive! Dr. Keney responds promptly and cordially. Apart from his excellent bedside manners, Dr. Keney is a great educator. He explains things in a clear, concise manner. He's down-to-earth and comes across as genuine and trustworthy. Dr. Keney is definitely up-to-date on all things digital. The portal is convenient and has all your records; in addition, it's easy to message him. He always responds within 3 days--sometimes sooner depending on the situation. I trust him and feel he's competent. Furthermore, I always walk away learning something interesting after my visits. My biggest mistake was switching to a Nurse Practitioner! They have limited knowledge compared with medical doctors.

Dr Keney rocks! He listens, cares and is very knowledgeable. I like his pragmatic approach to managing my health and feel like I have a partner. And he has a sense of humor which makes dreary medical visits a little more enjoyable. He is very rapid in sharing information but that matches my style. The ratings I gave on ease of scheduling, wait time etc. should not be reflective of Dr Keney and my satisfaction with him. It is the practice he is affiliated with that I have rated.

Dr. Keney has been my primary care physician for three years. He is competent, caring and actually interested and concerned about my medical situation. He coordinates several specialist physicians who treat me and is knowledgeable about all of my conditions. He always takes time to discuss and explain issues. Dr. Keney takes the time to answer our questions, thoroughly explain lab tests and discuses treatment options. He referred me to an excellent surgeon for a knee replacement and has made referrals for several specialties my wife has needed. I served as a Paramedic for 34 years prior to retiring and am thankful Dr. Keney was still accepting new patients when my wife and I had to find a doctor that would accept our insurance. I would recommend Dr. Keney to anyone looking for an outstanding MD.

Dr. Keney is the best PCP I have ever had. He listens, he knows what my conditions are and he is always available online to answer questions. When necessary, he draws a picture--in this office it was on the paper on the table. In the old offices, it was on a whiteboard that was hung on the wall. He does try to make you understand what is going on with you, Antoinette is wonderful, too. She is always cheery and listens to what you say. I have recommended this office to several people.

Dr Keney has been my primary doctor for several years. When I first started seeing him I had several health issues. We have worked together to get them under control. We have had to deal with drug side effects and drug interaction along the way. Which has not been easy. Dr Keney has been very caring and supportive in trying to improve my health. He has always listened to any my concern about my health.
