Although Dr E is a very positive and nice Dr, I do not think he explains things well. After a routine urinalysis, he ordered an antibiotic that I cannot take. When I instructed his office to talk to my UTI Dr. things got very miscommunicated and I ended up taking antibiotics needlessly because I didn’t have an infection. It is really frustrating to be overprescribed and get conflicting messages between doctors. I only see him 2x? a year and every time, it feels like I’m meeting him for the first time.

Impressive
I was impressed by Dr. Elangovan from the first appointment I had with him several years ago. He took, and continues to do so, the time needed to explain test results, listen and address my questions/concerns, and encourages me to remain involved in maintaining my health. If I have a slip during my journey, he encourages me to get back on the path needed to be taken, and explains how and why. Over these many years he has treated me with dignity, respect, and empathy. I am so thankful that he is the one recommended to me by my PCP—truly dedicated to his practice and patients.

I was seen for endless kidney stones. Over 30 years and no other doctor treated the cause. I love the fact that he discovered my hyperparathyroidism and it was fixed and no more calcium stones.

Dr. Elangovan has been very supportive of my efforts to maintain the health of my single kidney. (I lost one to cancer 14 years ago.) His encouragement has helped me stay on track with habits that have helped me improve my kidney's health in the several years since I was referred to him by my PCP. His manner is very pleasant. On the few occasions when my test numbers have slipped a bit, he never made me feel as if I had failed. Rather, he kept encouraging me to do better, and I did.
