Dr. Lopa Shah, MD

After the circumcision, instead of being reassuring and comforting, Dr Shah said he was in the worst pain you can imagine. We weren't given any clear instructions or expectations and he got an infection the next day. After taking him to an urgent care clinic to get antibiotics, the infection was gone in less than 24 hours. Dr Shah insisted it wasn't infected and that other doctors don't know what they're talking about. Our baby was too big, so the tool they used to perform the circumcision was too small resulting in a failed circumcision. For two more visits Dr. Shah used a probe with no pain killers to push down the extra skin to the point of bleeding. We had enough and went to see a urologist who scheduled a new circumcision to fix everything. This was all done wrong from the beginning and we did not have a pleasant experience with Dr. Shah.

She really rushes with the appointments. Doesn't give us much information or detail when we ask questions. She seems to know what she's doing, but doesn't seem so friendly and comforting as most pediatrician doctors seem. She gives off this judgmental vibe when it came to my child's father's beliefs in vaccination schedule. That isn't very pleasant and makes the appointments awkward at times.
