Dr. De La Portilla is the best endocrinologist I ever been too, she is very thorough and knowledgeable, she cares about her patients well being. Always takes time to explain and make sure patients understand the severity of their diagnosed. She goes the extra mile to make sure her patience get better.

Ignored or overlooked
I was / have been a patient of Dr De La Portilla for a couple of years now..I had a diagnosis that would directly affect my life due to a heart condition. She had been extremely careful and thorough however when my condition became stable and seeming to be remission the last set of blood work was done through the lab and I received no call from the office…it took me calling in nearly a month later to get any resolution. The issue is not with the doctor it’s with the staff.

Was going to leave HHC Endocrinology because of the way I had been treated...like a bother and not a patient. Then I went to a new doctor on staff. Dr. de la Portilla was very warm to me and listened to all my concerns. Decided to stay just because of her. Very happy with her manner and definite concern for my well-being.

It was my first visit I like her talk alittle too fast but I had to call her about a blood work that show my thyroid was off..she didn't call me.I had to call her which took 4 days to return my call...now this week with the virus going around and I'm recovering from throat cancer.I wanted information on precautions with my son coming back from Florida phone call never return I guess my issue are not that important..I will not be returning very surprised cause everyone I went to in Hartford Health Care been wonderful..could be her staff but shame on them.
