Dr. Lori Lerner, DO

I have been a patient of Lori Lerner for several years. She and the Avon staff are always pleasant, friendly and so caring. Lori, in particular, always makes me feel comfortable and NEVER rushed. She takes her time, is empathetic and so knowledgeable. Thoroughly pleased with my care

Dr. Lerner is an extremely rude person and is extremely crass and has zero personality. Her personality made me extremely uncomfortable during my visit and I left crying.She did not listen to my concerns and cut my appointment off after 30 minutes and although I was offered a physical I was there, she denied me the care because I was past my 30 minutes. The fact that Hartford Healthcare thinks 30 minutes appointments are acceptable in themselves is disgusting and shows what a factory they are. Dr. Lerner runs her office like a factory and refused to give me an extra second.I would never recommend anyone to see Dr. Lerner as she’s just another doctor who wants to push you to specialty care who already has been failing to provide adequate treatment for me for years. Overall, scary and terrifying!!

This was my first appointment with Dr. Lerner, and I could not be more pleased with the visit. She was very courteous, yet easy going, and listened to all of my concerns and made suggestions for treatment going forward. Looking forward to having Dr. Lerner as my new PCP.

Dr. Lerner takes care of all your concerns and listens closely to what you say. She is thorough, caring and quite knowledgeable. Several of my family see her and we are all more than satisfied with her care. If I could give her higher than a 5 rating I would. Just love her!

After explaining that I needed a new primary, a physical, and desirable desperately needed to see a back surgeon, she told me my appointment wasn't for a physical, billed it as a follow-up for my horrible, humiliating visit with Dr. Torabzadeh, then referred me to a knee surgeon who does not take husky. Which was particularly aggravating since I had told her how depressed I was since I was in near constant physical pain and could not get properly treated on HUSKY. I also told her how Dr. Torabzadeh completely and thoroughly humiliated me for the sin of being poor and having PTSD from several life events that were out of my control. There is ZERO compassion in medicine anymore. It's 100% about the almighty dollar.

MY PHYSICIANS, AND SURGEONS WHO WERE WITH ME FOR 30 -40 YEARS ALL RETIRED THREE YEARS YEARS PAST. MY SELECTION PROCESS TO REPLACE THEIR PROFESSIONALISM, INTELLIGENCE, MANNERS AND EFFICIENCY HAS BEEN A STORY MAKING NIGHTMARE. WITH DR. LERNER'S STAFF THERE IS HARMONY AND PROFESSIONALISM. I AM NEW TO DR. LERNER'S PRACTICE, I BELIEVE THE SEARCH HAS ENDED FOR FINDING A PCP. THANK YOU.

Dr. Lerner is wonderful!

She is very through and has an excellent bedside manner. This being a new patient made me at ease.

Consistently present. Listens first, comprehensive, focused assessments. Incredibly respectful, kind and open to working with other clinicians to foster a team approach. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thankful to have her as my primary physician.

Awful. not compassionate and didnt take time to really look into issues i complained of. I found a new dr that diagnose me instantly thankfully. I wouldnt recommend or ever go back.

I recently re-located to CT and needed to find a new PC doctor. After research, I made an appointment with Dr. Lerner at Hartford Healthcare. In our initial appointment she took the time to carefully review the health-related paperwork I brought with me, she looked at me (not her computer) and listened to me. Her suggestions were sensible and clear. She also welcomed input from my chiropractor (some dr.'s don't). Hart.Health. is a fabulous facility and the assistants were fantastic as well.

Dr. Lerner was very helpful with recommendations and clear explainations for her suggestions. She listened and responded specifically to my concerns and questions. Dr Lerner in this visit had some difficulty in making eye contact at times.
