I saw Dr.Schaen for the first time today.I was concerned with a growth on my face. She was just as kind and pleasant, and caring as she could be! I hadn't seen a dermatologist in many years, and am very glad to have found her!

It appears my Google review might have been deleted, so I will continue my review here. I have never felt more humiliated in my life! When trying to schedule an appointment, I was informed that Dr. Schaen (provider of my request) only has a few appointment times slotted for Medicaid and uninsured "Self-Pay" patients. At that point I wasn't exactly interested in an appointment any longer. However, I went ahead and waited to hear what the wait time for one of these appointments and I was given a ridiculously lengthy 3+ months. This Doctor has no problem sharing what her true priorties are , which are patients with insurance that she can sucker for money and claims! I want a doctor who is more interested in helping me! I have never felt so devalued for my success as a self-employed business owner.

I first went to Dr. Schaen in January 2022. My previous dermatologist had only done one, maybe two biopsies over many years. Dr. Schoen saw some suspicious spots and did four biopsies my first visit and found cancer on my ear. Dr. Schaen caught it before the cancer penetrated the surface layer of my skin. So, the fix was relatively easy since she caught it early. I want to thank Dr. Schaen for being so thorough.

Dr Schaen is thorough, pleasant and direct. She took the time to fully examine and review all the conditions she found and explained her recommended approach to them. On our first visit, my wife and I expected maybe a 20 minute visit for the two of us. Three hours later, after taking seven biopsies, we had a prioritized game plan for how we were going to approach each condition. This included a referral to a skin surgeon for a consultation on possible options. She even researched the medications she was recommending to see where the least cost option was. She also followed up with the surgeon and their recommendations and created a plan to do everything possible to reduce/eliminate issues before having to have surgery. Her concern and care for her patients was very evident and I certainly appreciated it. It was with a sense of relief to know what the problems were and what we are going to do about them, starting right now! I would highly recommend Dr Schaen to anyone.

This is quite the opposite experience of everyone else in town. After seeing Dr. Schaen several times in the past and referring many friends and family, I have heard only good things. Do not let such a negative outlook affect a future perspective on a well-respected and experienced dermatologist.

Horrible, rushed, and totally unprofessional visit. I had three concerns: a spot on my face, a spot on my stomach, and a rosacea flare-up. Dr. Schaen told me that was too many and I would need another visit to address my issues. She said the spot on my face was a pimple, even though I pointed out it had been there well over a month. She told me she could scrape it off my face, and when I hesitated with a response, she told the nurse to write down that I refused a biopsy. Dr. Schaen said I needed laser treatments for my rosacea, and when I told her I had already had them and they did not work, she told me I needed more. I said I was not interested, and she clearly was not happy with that response. She then sat down two feet from me and removed her face mask. The office requires them, we are in the middle of skyrocketing Covid cases, and she takes off her mask and leaves it off until the visit is over. Clearly, this doctor and her dermatology group do not care about people.

I have seen Dr Schaen for several years & have always been been very happy with her. The problem is her office is now part of a practice from out of state & now the wait to get an appointment with her is over 4 months, even if the condition is urgent. It also seems that the practice is doing more cosmetic procedures rather than general dermatology these days. Sadly I may have to find a new dermatologist.

Dr. Schaen is amazing! She always takes her time with us and is very thorough, which explains why it can be a little hard to get in as a new patient at first. I have made this the dermatology office of choice for our whole family. Her nurse, Kenny is so friendly and helpful. I also love her asethetician, Tanya. She takes her time and answered all my questions. I left there with a plan on how to treat my acne scars, & she didn't push me to buy any products. Instead I received samples & a regimen!
